can't say i watched the whole thing, as i fell asleep half way through.. it was getting late last night anyways. i was a little intrigued by the parallels of action of the past couple of years with what was prescribed in 1992 to preserve american superpower status. it does make more sense of why we invaded iraq then the wmds/liberation/no wmds, but they could have been built in a couple years reasoning we're being fed right now.
i searched online, but i couldn't find a copy of wolfowitz's "definitive guidance from the secretary of defense" memorandum from 1992. i found a couple of articles from that time, but if anyone has a link to the 46 pages in their entirety, please post a link.

as described in the post and ny times. so bush is telling the truth regarding the need for regional stability. how many bases are we building in Iraq? a minor setback that they didn't have our terrorists and wmds, it'll all blow over and we'll soon have all the troops and equipment from closed bases in europe and japan that we need to secure ourselves in a nice centralized piece of middle eastern soil.(*cough*, oil, *cough*)

| that documentary is pretty biased, attacking Bush/Republicans/Neo-Conservatives, but there's many hard evidence in it that you can't deny, very logical and obvious explanations, i especially enjoyed the quote : "this is the culture of TV where the press really only care about and only response to television performance..." |
