This week San Francisco hosted 4th annual World Cyber Games. Gamers from all over the world came over to play games such as Starcraft, Warcraft, Halo, Unreal Tournament etc (www.worldcybergames.com)
First prize btw, is $40,000
The only notable achievement by a Canadian was in Halo. He finished 2nd, losing to an American.
I've read some history - and apparently in Korea(where first 3 tournaments were hosted), STADIUMS gathered to watch the games.. WOW ! |

I knew that.
They've been doing it for a while now haven't they?
And if you haven't already seen it, watch the video of the guy beating mario 3 in 11:27. It's crazy, at one point the dude gets like 74 lives in a single level. |

I'm not sure whether I'm thinking of the same video, but if we are then that video was fabricated. I read about this long long time ago. |

I used to play it. Couldn't stand it. I like MMORPGs, but I don't see the purpose of killing monsters all day when there's no equipment or PvP. |

Well i find it fun because its a team effort of each archetype, and you get new powers are you keep lvling up.
So you have to earn you powers before you can use them and each player of the team is imoprtant since each have a active roll.
JUST LOVING IT:D |
