It's all about the music!!!!

I just am curious to ask any of you T'A if you have friends that are not partiers and are totally against doing drugs such as E. I have the most amazing friends. What I love most about my friends is that they are different. But trying to explain to one of my good friends who has never partied that it is a choice I have made a long time ago is not as easy as it may sound. I know drugs are BAD and they have negative side affects and ....but I think I am old enough and responsible enough to make my own choices and my friends should respect that. I have no regrets trying E. It honestly is the reason how I got into the whole electronic scene. I love the music, I love to dance. I have fallen in love with the scene to know now I don't need drugs, I only get high to dance till the very end!! I have partied sober before though...and I know I just have a blast the same. I love the music too much not to enjoy myself. One of my girls said to me the other day, "aww Kel you are so much better than that..." I have no response to this nor do I think I ever will. People that I know do drugs for the sake of getting F@#!%$ up I will never really understand. That is why I know my situation is different from that kind or crowd. My brother for example.......he will NEVER be a real partier, but yet he has tried the drug and has loved the buzz. I thought maybe him trying the drug would open his eyes to this amazing scene.......but not even close. So my thought is e has given me the gift of appreciating the best music ever and I am lucky to be part of this whole exerience. That is why I have no regrets, and people that think I am less of a person for this........well it is their loss. I guess the reason for this whole thread today is how do you guys deal with this sort of thing... I know I can't be the only one. In conclusion,if there were no music....well there definately would be no point to drugs. It really is all about the music!!:happy2:

if you really do love your music etc you dont need drugs for that
a lot of my friends do drugs and i made a lot fo them quit and stop doing in exchange if they love their drug so much they can forget about me
i go for the past few years and i have been offered millions of times to try dozens of drugs and ive done nothing
i dontget it ENERGY DRINK does exactly the same
you wanna get tripped out you wanna get pumped out drink 2 en energie drinks 3 4 how many you need and you will dance your night away
drugs are for en junkies people who sell them and do them have no en future whatsoever and if you dont stop now you will see how much affect it does on you
i dont preach i dont care as long as they dont affect me you can do w/e you want, i can dance all night if i need to if i cant energy drinks saves it for me anyways i wrote too much already but that was my opinion on this topic

yeah I hear what your saying. The whole e thing is only an occasional for me now. All I am saying is that it's my choice to to what I want, and it doesn't make me less of a person. I am no where near a junky. :wtf:

we dont take it to in trip out, we take it for the way it makes you love the music just that much more, the people around you, the atmosphere. you understand even more how amazing the music is, and the club life with it, when you try E. so get it out of your heads that we somehow NEED it to enjoy the club, or we want to in trip out and we do all these hardcore drugs all the time or something. its a super occasional thing, i dont do anything else, and as an example, i was totally sober for seeing armin lastnight, so there. unless you try it, then dont even say you know, and if you have, then you know, so why would you bitch? the reason, because you havent

it's 50-50 i think, edm and E go together. i have never had e somewhere else (regular club, chillin, etc), and i never go to the party (guv, boa - edm scene) without e.

about your friends bitching, honestly, they are your friends so maybe they're onto something, drugs can up your thinking, it happens to best of us, so sometimes you should listen to the people that care about you (im not saying anything, just those people can see things that you probably cant).

my best friend doesnt do e or anything else, and maybe a year ago i was telling him like "man, next week armin is here, and then week after that im gonna go to boa, and the week after that...." so he told me "maybe you should chill for a while". i remeber telling him, "man you should respect what i want to do" and he did, he was just worried and said what was on his mind. i tought about it for a while and i didnt do for 4 months.

your friends will always bitch about drugs, so to make them happy (and just to see what's up) test yourself every now and then, your friends will see that you dont have a drug problem and probably they'll bitch less. everybody happy ;)

Normally when I go out I get really drunk and have a great time, but when it wears off I am nothing more than another body taking up space on the dancefloor. Did E once at LOL3, and it was all well and good, won't do it again for a long time, if at all. Last night at Guv I had 1 beer when I got there at midnight, and that was it. Found that really good tunes have the same effect as E does. I think I'll be doing it totally sober from now on :)

Ahh seems like we have a few people who are experiencing the love affair with ecstasy. OR should i say, the joys of the honeymoon period which in my opinion is the best part of the whole E experience :)

Take it from someone who did his fair share, and now only drops on a 4-5 month basis, the key is what i suspect many of your dropping buddies will share with you. Moderation. It's easy the first few times to believe that there's nothing better then being lifted when you've done your roll. Everything just seems better, the music, the human contact, the vibe, the colors. Enjoy it the first few times, because truth be told the magic does ware off even if you regulate it.

What you can gain from doing E however is a certain perspective that i don't think you can truely achieve unless you have felt that euphoria that comes via rolling, and the great thing is -- you can actually carry that feeling long after comming off the high. The memories i've had when i first did E are some of the best ones i can remember. The friends i made during those experiences all agree that sharing that experience transformed an ordinary night into a truly magical one.

To have friends that tell you that you're better then a drug is a blessing. Because it's true. But that shouldn't stop you from doing it. If anything, i'd feel more comfortable knowing that there's an additional security buffer to warn me if i ever started dropping too often. I think as an adult you should be aware of the risks, but you should also be open to the many experiences (positive and negative) that come through using E. As long as you're safe, and make sure you get good dope and are surrounded by a knowledgable group of people who will look after you if things go bad then the risks you face are not much greater then if you went on to the bar for a crazy party (yes - i know ppl will disagree here, but this is just my opinion )

Ultimately it's the music that is important as you said...but if you can do a few things to enhance the experiencee, then go for it -- and have a rolling good time too :)
