| Lately I've been noticing these two genres seem to be miles apart from each other, and I'm not just talking about what they sound like. I know House started in the US Chicago area, don't know about trance though. Has anyone else noticed this and why are they consistently separated so drastically from each other? |

At times they're not so separated.. look at Tilt - The World Doesn't Know :)
Generally I don't think they're separated as such... I mean they're different genres, but they don't seem like they're further apart than any other two genres out there. |

" In the beginning there was jack ...and jack had a groove ..,and from that groove , came house ..and house music was born .."
from the original house sounds there came " disco , electro , early rave(90s), italian house , hardcore , in my opinion here is when the division takes place , house , hard house , hard core ( still ) and of course the melodic trance sounds , that have progressed to todays wonders , in their many forms ...aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh

Trance started in Germany...you know that they sound different, so in what way in which they are separated do you want to know about? Why they sound different? Why people who listen to one usually hate the other? Why DJ's don't play both? Why the scenes are so different? What? |
