The backbone of any decent debate or discussion is a strong opinion.
To be truthful, I don't mind if people criticise my opinion if they don't agree with it, however its easy to play the critic without putting your own opinion up for scrutiny, and this is a little spineless imo. This is a quite common practise around here though I've noticed I might add.
Got any trance tips to add by the way? |

Many people will agree (atleast those I have met) that Paul Oakenfold's album 'Tranceport' was the very first album that got them hooked on trance music. Many of these people are proud to admit it because, in their honet opinion, it fscking rules! It may be a compilation, not even songs BY Oakenfold, himself, but it's a GREAT introduction into Trance music nevertheless.
It also helps that you can buy it on CD at places such as Wal-Mart. So if you're looking for an introduction into Trance, definitely check out Oakenfold's Tranceport.
This is just what I have gathered from observing people's 'best of anthems' lists. :D |
Strange but true. Me and my friend fall under that catagory and for some reason so do many other people. This was the first EDM CD I bought back in 2001 and to this day is still one of my top favorites. |

In the interests of offering my opinion on this delectable subject...
Trance changes faster than you can keep up with it. The idea of anyone being really at the forefront of it is fabrication. My advice is just immerse yourself in it and dont worry too much about what armin or tiesto are currently spinning. Find your own taste for it...
More often than not, the most innovative tracks come from complete unknows who have, up until release, just been hacking away in their bedrooms, waiting to unleash their tunes onto the scene.
Some producers that are definately worth checking out and will give you a decent slice of the uplifting side of things:

Oceanlab
Solarstone
Re:Locate
Signum
Pulser
Push
But there are soooo many more. Look and ye shall find... |
