all these wannabe sensation parties all over the place... and id&t is so money hungry, wouldn't surprise me if they started suing for using their concept without their permission lol |
woah woah there !!.... lemme make this clear, this isnt gonna be an event as big as sensation obviously ! but we are borrowing there theme, its not gonna b a huge event its gonna b sort of an underground thing because my friend wants to try and bring the euro scene into NYC so i dont see anythin in wrong with that! im from Europe myself which is also why im encouraging for people like U guys to go check it out. |

Oh and ya'll think your gonna do a better job (bringing the 'euro' scene) than, oh lets say... Paul van Dyk, Tiesto, Armin, Ferry, etc...
Secondly, if this party is targeted at KTU loosers, than your preaching to the wrong crowd, cause we dont want to see them. |

| dam... ppl gotta chill. btw, its not even called Sensation ne more and hasnt been for the past week and half, Silver didnt know about the change (which i decided to make last week) and posted this thread about the party, which will go on, not under the name of Sensation. i culd care less and im not madd at him for doing so, bc he had nothing but good intentions. no, this party isnt targeted toward KTU losers, its targeted against the whole KTU culture. i didnt mean for this party to become such a friggin piece of drama, jeez. if u love trance culture, then ull come, and as for u Vlad, IM me and ill send u all of my original traxx and sets, and u can judge for urself if its gunna be a KTU fest. PvD, Tiesto, Armin, and Ferry bring the Euro sound here, but they dont bring the Euro scene. idk if uve ever been to Europe, but obviously theres a difference between DJs bringing the Euro sound and the Euro scene, but im not gunna talk down to ya and explain it. if u all wanna hate on this party, go ahead, its ppl like u that makes the trance scene so weak, bc ur just so satisfied with the state at which everything is right now. YES, there are ppl that are doing things are being go getters, the TFST parties, the loft parties, some raves..... this is another one of those examples where a trance fan decides to get up off his ass, doing something, and throwing a party, something different than ur usualy trance DJ appearing at Avalon or such. the name has been changed from Sensation to something else which will be revealed after all the bookings are done and the venue is 100% ours. Silver didnt know about the change tho, and he had nothing but good intentions, and he promoted about it. so now, that everythings cleared up, u still wanna hate? trance is trance, regardless of whether its a Ferry @ Avalon party, or some1 in the local scene that wants to give back to the scene, in hopes of maybe getting other ppl to get up off their asses and realize that NYC shouldnt be all about house house house house house in every ing club. w.e. tho, im gunna stop here, no need to get riled up, i explained everything. |

Just a reality check, any genre other than House will not get big and get recognition in NYC, unless you are already some superstar DJ. Victor Dinaire, hands down the best NYC trance DJ, moved to LA because of it.
Right now, IMHO, Alex Pearce is gonna start gaining ground in NYC - hes an awesome house DJ.
The scene in the US will never be equivalent to what goes on in Europe, its just a completely different society and mindset. |

| thats ur opinion tho.... u view the "situation" as, NYC will never be this, bc its a different society, or w.e. i see it as, MOST NYC clubbers dont know about good trance, theyre so ignorant to whats good and whats new. most NYC DJs are living in the past. look how many "ANTHEMS" CDs there are (that get to number 1 on the clubbing charts in the US), just look how many Classics @ Spirit or SF Jonathan Peters has had (i dont like him at all, im just proving a point). most of the "traditional" DJs here in NYC (the ones that have been here, and will still be here for a few years at least.... DT, JP, etc.) will always look at the past, and not look at the future. they will say exactly what u are saying, "NYC will never change its ways to like nething but house", and theyll keep playing the same stuf theyve been playing for years. are there any trance monthlies here in NYC? if i hadnt joined TA, i wouldnt know about TFST @ Seho, which i have never been to. try promoting it to ppl outside of ur group, try promoting it on a KTU site, it just mite catch ppls attention, and trance just mite catch on. i havent seen TFST parties advertised newhere but here, sry to say. so how bout ppl start looking OUTSIDE of the box, instead of being elitists and staying within the "caste" ur in.... and SO WHAT, if we draw a KTU crowd, SO WHAT, if we draw a raver crowd, the music will be TRUE to the trance culture, and who knows, those KTU dudes and those ravers mite go back home thinking to themselves "wow, that party was awesome, what was that music?" and there ya go, u got 2 different mindsets of clubbers that will be at ur next event, and WILL bring friends too. thats why u see raver types and clubber types all in harmony at the Euro parties and festies, theyre not elitists, theyre true to the music, no matter who they think they "fit in" with. but, what do i know? i only have like 100 posts on this site, so that must mean i dont know what im talking about  and for the record, im not bashing TFST or its promotion methods, i was just commenting on how ive never heard of Club Seho, nor have i heard of those parties ne where else but here. |

There have been trance monthlies, and the clubs that housed them all shut down, most notably Arc.
NYC wont change, people here are too stubborn and dont want to accept change - they like it as it is. |

| sad but tru, ur rite with that one.... "they like it as it is"... i agree... ill just end it here, then, no need to keep going on with it |
