Just wondering if any of you know where i can find a tab for this song or if someone can tab it.

i dont have this song but theres a 20 second clip of it i found at google. the quality sucks but it sounds something like this...

it definitely starts on a b minor but i cant make out the others very well in the 20 second clip. if i can find the full song ill transcribe it in full cuz it sounds like a nice song.

ok heres the correct version. finally got time to sit down and tab it...

Motorcycle - Imagination

transcribed for 1 guitar. capo up 2 frets so its in key of F#. this song only has 5 chords but there are alot of strummed or picked variations of it and the chord changes can be awkward. thanks to sunquest for providing the acapella where i could actually hear the guitars properly!

* not sure about the 2nd chord but its a variation on dmaj7. im guessing c#/dmaj7. most of the chords are inversions of common chords which just makes it a bit more confusing to figure out.

EDIT: gah. the up strokes, down strokes and chord names didnt line up properly :O i can send you the notepad version via email if it gets a bit confusing.

also, i should mention that on the verse when you pick the 2 on the e string the the open a string before strumming the e/d chords, you will find the switch quite awkward without having to seem to stop and start again. if you know what i mean.

what i do is have my fret hand still in the shape where im playing

e---2---
b---2---
g---0---
d---0---
a---4---
E-------

and then i play the 2 on the e string with my middle finger, pick the open a string and while that rings out change to e/d. this way you dont lose momentum and the chords flow nicely.

np. its a nice tune. i wouldnt post it on to a tab site until its 100% correct. but thats cuz one thing that annoys me about places like tab crawler is that theres too many unfinished or blatently wrong tabs on there. i transcribed a version of back to the old house by the smiths which is 100% note for note correct. i think its time i uploaded that actually cuz too many guitarists on tab crawler have been playing it wrong for years ;)

hey, and good luck with playing imagination. if you remix it with live guitars make sure to post it so we can av a listen.

Thanks man, been looking for this. Now my only problem is getting a fret capo :whip:

fret capos are easy to find. the metal clamp ones are the best (and most expensive) but you will never need to buy another capo again if you get one of those. i keep getting the cheap plastic ones (cuz they are so cheap i get suckered into buying them) and the strap goes within months :(

i try not to use capos cuz it makes sight reading really confusing :crazy:

although to play this song in key without a capo requires you have 7 fingers on your fretted hand!
