i'm surprised all of you guys are talking so much praise of the night...
i got there at about 11ish...went through the drink entrance (which was closed, so they hosted it in charlies instead)...that was cool, because charlies is a very nice looking place...i love that room, because when you want to get out of the hype from the main room, its the perfect place to wind down. I was in charlies for 2 hours dancing to some sweet ass house music of all types (funky, deep, prog, tribal) some amazing beats dropped, and i was having a great time...went to the main room about 12:45...personally the 25minutes of mark oliver i heard b4 marco v came on bored me to death...it sounded like he was looping the same drum pattern over and over again with no purpose. Finally Marco V came on and he started off more technoy...he puts in some good energy, but i was hoping for some more diversity...my girlfriend wasn't digging it because same deal, it didn't sound like his set had any drive to it...so we then went in the goldclub lounge for an hour or so...some fun old skool house and stuff like that being played (that mc has to shut the up though) then back to the main room...i just found it hard getting into marco's set...it just wasn't motivating me. I was in shock when he dropped flaming june...it was all hard stuff, and just out of nowhere, that comes on!!! crazyness...that song alone made my nite...but personally this is my rating:
charlies 9/10
goldclub lounge 7/10
marco v 5/10
marco v in july 10/10
so, i spent most of my nite in the other rooms, because i just wasnt feeling it...marco ed rocked my ass in july when he was here with push...but didn't happen last nite...ahwell, next time |

| It was fun partying last night...i was right up at the front for most of the night...not too much attitude in the guv besides the couple cranky skanks here and there fighting with each other because they got lost (lol!!)...but Marco was on good for most of the night...a couple times i found myself to stop dancing because of some tracks were just average but overall he kept pounding the speakers which me and a friend kept screaming louder...thought volume was too low...last time i seen him at the Guv he was much better when he dropped C Del, Simulated and echoes...but a solid 7.5/10 IMO. |

He played a much harder set. Left early, at about 4:30ish (still tired from last weekend), but totally worth it.
Highlights of the night: Need to feel loved (I have no idea which mix, but a ing hard mix); Flaming June (mudblood) - I just could not believe my ears; My own worst enemy; and this one other vocal track he played around 1:30-1:45..., no one could id this track...
btw, RJ, you totally missed an awesome set by Marco V..oh well next time. |

It is totally possible, though i dont know that song, ill download it then check the videos. Some of the videos audio just sucks. others is good, Find, and Loops And things came out the best. |

Ok well what more can I say than MARCO ing V.
Yet again he blow my mind and my body is suffering from it but what else do ya expect from the master behind the decks.
Each time he has been at Guv its been relatively quieter than usual which is pretty nice caus eit gives me lots of space to kick it hardstyle till I drop.
From what i saw it seems a few more people are starting to realize what I have been saying about him for the past 4 years. No other DJ can throw down a set like his, just when you think its gonna go nice and smooth he s you right over and bangs it out you just loss control.
It was awesome to see Mark T's face when he dropped Bang Bang, totally loved it.
Anyways Im at school working but should be studying for one of the finals I never studied for this weekend caus eof Marco V. When is he coming back again I just cant get enough. :tongue3 :tongue3 |
