I bit of a surprise booking in my opinion.. they have been booking other Montreal djs on Sundays such as Laflech and Mini. I haven't been to this club yet myself though (in Hull).
I have seen Barbara maybe half dozen times over the years but the last time was almost 3 years ago. Her sets were always sort of hit or miss for me so not sure what to expect, but looking forward to tonight! :D
$3 drinks too.. you can bet there will be some debauchery.. hehe ;)

My sentiments exactly.. buit I'll take what I can get in these parts. ;)
I doubt an Ottawa promoter will book her anytime soon... she's still a draw here but no one seems to want to work with her.
Tonight should be pretty fun though.. a night on the town with ma biiitches! w00t :eyespop: |

I had a great time last night! :D
My memory is reeeeeeaaaaaaally fuzzy.. so I pretty much just remember that she opened with Just Kick (Cohen vs. Deluxe) and ended with Murder was the Bass.. hehe
She didn't play all that hard.. but for a sunday night at a non-afterhours club it was to be expected I guess.
It was really weird to be a $8 cab ride from my apartment and yet being world's away from the 'Ottawa scene'.. I don't think I recognized a single person.. the crowd was right into it also!
I was very very briefly a 'speaker slut' too which is uncharacteristic of me.. hehe ;)
Seemed to be a good turnout.. I'm sure the promoters made some coin.
I am so tired this morning.. called in late for work.. :crazy:
not hungover though.. thank god.. I was worried all those shots were going to punish me. |
