Very interesting and quick analyses of two nickleback songs. One made in their ty days... and one made recently, both almost exactly the same.
The trance world has some people who do the exact same thing, but i still hate top 40. :)

Yes, the point of this exactly.
Nickelback and their label are businessmen if you want to think about it that way, they're just giving people a product they know and like, if it ain't broke (i.e. if for whatever reason I can't understand, they still want to hear the same ) why fix it (i.e. why risk doing something different when they're still getting success).
It's really not that different to a factory making sausages. Most people enjoy eating sausages, so the sausage factory owner makes good old sausages because that's what the people want and are going to buy. Of course it's a completely different market we're talking about, but it's the same principal.
People want money though, and there's money to be made in giving people what they want, that's what keeps the cycle going.
Am I making sense or just talking crap? |

| whats the point of innovation if it can't bring you the almighty dollar? money is what drives the music industry, so e music will continue to dominate the top40 for many years to come :) |

ok in general, seriously.....rock isn't rock anymore.
almost all the "good rock" or "popular rock" out there is ty mutha in from the tiest ter on the planet.
seriously, I used to be all about rock. I play guitar, im all about listening to some cool riffs and deep meaningful lyrics, but fukit.
the rock of today reminds me of the short lived 80's hair bands........fun for a while, but damn what were they thinking?!?!
DOWN WITH BULL MUSIC! DOWN I SAY! |

What's wrong with Nickelback?
And Radagast seems to be the only other one pointing out that trance has the same structural similarities within itself. |
