Bull. Through high school I received $0 from anybody, in fact I had to pay for my own food and rent at home, I worked part time everyday, and busted my ass studying whenever I wasn't working to get 2 scholarships. Now I'm putting myself through uni and still giving money to my parents.

ANYBODY can do that, it's not luck of the draw like lazy unmotivated undisciplined people love to believe.

Only one question left unanswered... Carrera GT or Ferrari Enzo? ;)

Exactly...

People who are poor (read jobless and on the street) in Canada are either lazy or mentally incapacitated. Sadly its not a PC thing to say but its the truth.

sorry but like u said u live in an upper middle class home. people who live in poverty usually stay in poverty. not because lack of education or lack of chance, its because people learn what they are taught. if theyve lived their life poor and only know ghetto theyre going to grow up ghetto, unless of course they have alot of selfdiscipline and have drive. but that all leads back to focus. people do well at what their focus is on. believe it or not some of the greatest minds of our times live in traiulor parks in the US (ive seen a large documentary on it). Its not because they dont have the brain capacity its just that their focus is on the wrong things. but who are we to say what the wrong thing is. u live ur life as u wish. forget this 4 car garage mansion North american bull. thats what life is not abt. If u want to live a fulfilling life make a change in the world. the problem is people do things for the pay back not for the good of society and thats why most people will be forgotten after their time is up.

I agree with this also

Man, sometimes I just wish I get into a situation like that where I get thrown out on the street, get broke without any financial help from parents and whatnot, kicked out of University, or something comparable just so I get off my lazy ass and actually do something about my life instead of just being on cruise-control most of the time and following everyone else...

Then again, as soon as I get my degree (next year or so), I'm off the chain... mostly doing it for the parents anyway, cuz I really don't need it that bad, I can get by in life without it as well. And once I'm off the chain, I will be more inclined to take advantage of all these opportunities I've been presented with (and that I create for myself) but had to refuse due to lack of time (goddamn schoolwork!).

back to my long ass rant. also when u reach a certain standard u will work to reach that standard. if u lived in a upper class home ull most likely be upper class laterr on in life. ur used to it and u wont settle for anything else. this goes for the poor too. this is all they know and theyre comfortable with it. but my point being is U need the poor just as much as u need the rich. The reason why not everyone are millionaires is because theres not enough money for every single one of us to be millionaires. u need ur rooks u need ur queens u need ur bishops u need ur knights and u need ur pawns. however it a different perspective, and in a birds eye view, ultimately we are all pawns. However this pawn is gonna make it to the other side of the board.
