| Does anyone Go/went to Baruch or knows anything about it? I go to marist right now in poughkeepsie NY but might transfer to Baruch primarily because it's in the city and it's a better business school. it has no dorming though so I'll have to get an appartment or get one from www.studenthousing.org |

(liberal arts) baruch grad here :)
pros:
- really good business program (esp. in accounting)
- great bang for your buck
- brand new facilities
- most diverse student body in america
- classes are kinda tough
- it's in manhattan
cons:
- large student body (16,000) means big classes and an often-impersonal atmosphere
- school bureucracy is a pain in the ass
- large amount of required courses
- commuter school = not much of a campus atmosphere
- classes are kinda tough |

i know several guys who did their
undergrad at baruch and then
did a masters in business
at wharton or columbia
thus, he caliber of
students is there
and depends
solely on
you

Your leaving Mattress to go to Baruch? I know its in NYC and all but god Marist was a fun school. Dont worry about your future until the future.

okay then
marist is not only fun...
they only take 30% of students who apply
listed in barrons as highly competitive (as is lehigh and BC)
US News and World Report top 10%
May not be a business school though
and the chicks are hot
and if someone like me can make 6 figures with a marist degree they must be doing something right :p |
