i was watching 'Team America' and before the movie, they showed preview of the movie 'The Ring II'.

they totally twisted the plot from part I. omg! i don't know if is was just a PR move to make the movie look good by showing just the good parts in the movie ( like 'The Village' *cough cough* .. ) .. but the preview has drawn me in like the little idiot that i am .. hahahaha ..

has anyone seen the previews of this movie? .. they totally did a reverse 180 degree on the little girl. in part one, she didn't show any types of supernatural powers, and the only type of physical contact was through the 'seven day' thing, or through the little boy who could see her. but in part 2, she starts showing these massive powers, and made her meaner.

wow!
D-res
but didnt she get killed or whatever?

some movies end with no sequel setup, the ring being a prime example, but some are perfect but never actaully have a sequel, like "godzilla."

hated that film, freaked me out a bit :eyespop:

****SPOILERS****

No, the woman and the kid lived because they both made copies of the tape. Samara, the girl in the video, can't die. Ta-dah.

There were two prequels in Japan along with the sequel, too.

are you talking about a movie called "The Grudge?"

i saw a preview from that and it has a little girl that looks like the girl from the Ring, and she's crawling around like her, and has that same look on the face like when she came out of the TV.

But this movie takes place in a city or something, and Sarah Michelle Gellar is in it. don't know if there's a connection, or if it's just a rip on the ring.

The Ring totally rocked. i saw that movie in like the 3rd row....damn when she came out of the TV that was in' cool! :)

no this is not the same thing as the grudge...it is actually the ring two...i'll probably go see it hehehe...first one was creepy as hell so i'll go see this one too...

Let it die already!

Ringu was fun... Ringu 2 was okay... Ringu 0 was pointless... "The Ring" was the worst adaption I've seen in my whole life (which already managed to turn the trilogy in a single film), and now they're shooting "The Ring II"!? Are we really out of ideas? What next!?

The best thing about Ringu was its slow pace, building up to a climax that, despite of not being scary, did make you want to save the poor lad. The film was just fun (nothing marvellous), but it had a nice plot that kept you interesed throughout the film. "The Ring" is tense every single minute, to the point you can't actually find things scary because they're always trying to outdo whatever happened in the previous scene. Not to mention a sudden need of ruthlessness (why is everyone pissed at everyone else since the beginning?). Even the cute note, which says something childish like "Mom is chubby, Dad is chuby, so I'm chubby" in the Japanese version becomes "I found out my ing husband is ing his ing secretary, the ing ******". What for!? Compared to Sadako, the character from the American version is barely a trainee. Heck, when I had Sadako as my avatar I had to change it in the very same day because of the people who begged me to take it out.

edit: I'm sleepy and corrected some things :p
