so i enter dupont station and take escalator down to the entrance of the station. right beside me going down the stairs i notice a blind old woman. and shes making out ok. with her lil stick tapping away. im watching her and feel like it was my duty to help her. so she makes it ok to the bottom of the stairs and she makes it all the way to the tool booth. and i pay then shes right behind me and she pays or whatever. thats when i decided im not gonna be an ass like the rest of these people who are walking by and just staring at her and im going to do something. i mean hell we're in a subway and she prolly doesnt know where eastbound or westbound trains are. never mind i wouldnt want her falling on the tracks either. so i tap her and say "excuse me miss, are u going westbound or east bound. Ill guide u were ever u need to go." she flips out yelling and screaming at me how she doesnt need any in help.. her cane is swinging in the air. im like ok fine im out. anyways she gets on to the same train as me and gets off at the same station. so at Stgeorge station the platform is in the middle and she gets off the train and notices this. so she starts walking banging around her stick and cant find a wall to follow. at this point i knew it was dangerous. and i felt honestly so bad and really really wanted to help her. so shes there dumb struck flipping her cane around . lost like compeletely lost. she finds a pillart and leans against it. i came up to her again and say "miss do u need any help? ill guide u to ur next train" " ITS U AGAIN! LEAVE ME ALONE" and she starts going off again swearing and throwing her cane again. and im like "fine ur ed anyways, ur on the tracks" and i walk away. there she was stranded hugging a pillar all because she had foolish pride. goddamn try to be a good semeriitan and u just get spit in the face.
ps im lying abt what i said to her abt her being on the tracks just wanted to cause some emotion on u guys :P |

I feel guily for laughing, but I thought it was funny when you said she was swinging her cane around! :stongue:
Getting beat-up by a blind woman would be the greatest feat anyone could aspire to reach. People would say you have such a repulsive personality after that, your notoriety would rise to epic proportions. ;)
As for the lady - some people just don't need help I guess. Though, even though she's blind, she's a person just as much as any of us and should respect the fact that you offered your magnanimous aid to her. On the same token though, she's a person just just as much as any of us, so she doesn't need special help with things. :D
Now I'm just confused :haha: |

yeah, i find a lot of disabled people don't want help. only when they ask for it will i ever offer it. i had a friend in a wheelchair in highschool that taught me that it's very degrading to them to always have everything done for them.
but there was no reason for her to flip out on you. just say "no thank" you bitch. |

did you try to whip out your nun costume (since it's almost halloween) while you were saying that ... :haha: :haha:
but i feel for the woman.. don't get angry at her .. in her world, the only thing she knows is what she hears, and everything she hears are Fat Joe's "Lean Back" and Petey Pablo's "Freak a leek".. no wonder she got upset .. :nervous: :nervous: she probably the world today is nothing but fat joes and petey pablos. |

exactly. and i would not ofeer her help if it wasnt such a dangerous situation. i mean at St george station theres no walls for her to follow and the tracks are right there. i left her hugging a pillar and she was beginning to call the lil emergency phone they have on the wall. but she didnt wantmy in help. i felt like following her around for the reast of the day and every 5 minutes or so run behind her yell "BOOO!" and dash off into a bush, only to return 5 minutes later and do the same thing. |

| I had a similar situation with an old lady. It was at my old apartment complex and she was carrying out two bags of garbage. I saw her lugging these two bags and seemingly struggling. I asked her if she needed help, but I had my dog with me. She said, "I don't need your help, I do this every day" in a very frazzled tone. Then she was like, "Keep that dog away from me, I don't like dogs." Oh well. You gotta offer the help, but they don't have to accept it. They just want to feel normal and do things as anyone else will. |

| you can always make a loud boat horn sound to confuse her to think she is at the boat docks... or make some monkey animal sounds to make her think she's at the zoo. |
