Just a little pet peeve here:
When you want to talk about how long a thread is, use the number of posts, not the number of pages. Not everyone has the same posts per thread page setting as you, so talking about thread length in terms of pages is pretty much unintelligible. |

hmmm kind of on topic, how many posts do you show per page? I use 30 because it significantly reduces page length....blah blah blah.
30 is my answer |

| I use 40 posts per page because TA occassionally has a few... problems. At that time loading a new page more often can be a dicey proposition. |

Ooooooh, hey. Whenever someone uses the number of pages in a thread to depict the length of the thread, one knows that they are set to the default posts per page and that they aren't even aware that they can change that setting. If they were aware that they could change that setting they would know how idiotic it is to use the number of pages to indicate the length of a thread.
And...
if you stop and think about it, most users who aren't aware that they can change the number of posts per page probably won't bother to read this thread because it's not about nekked women, sex, or 'gina. :p
That being said, my pet peeve is better than yours!
This kind of typing annoys me; I know that people who type like this could give a that I'm annoyed but I'm in the mood to share:
"Wuts the most expensive stuff/prize, dat u have WON!"
:clown:
In closing, I understand why you changed your custom. You were indeed merciless to D-Res in his thread and while I often find little flame wars amusing, I have to say you went overboard in a big way. So, maybe you should change the custom one more time.
How about "unreasonably merciless?" Or "obnoxiously merciless?"
I betcha by the time he's your age, he'll know enough to ignore senseless abuse thrown out by little tards who just want to be abusive even when, even if the abuse is not warranted.

True. What's worse is when someone tries to refer you back to something on "page 6." But their page 6 is your page 2.

Yeah it's really bad. My most hated internet abbreviation is "wat." I mean would an 'h' really be asking that much?

It was just a joke, and while I'll admit it might have gone a little overboard it was only because he had to keep getting funnier each time. If he had just said something like "you're an , leave me alone," it would have been done after a couple of posts. That said, I think i'll take you up on the custom status recommendation. |

I think I really dislike "dat." And when someone uses "me" instead of "I." English baby talk?
Me no like it!

lmao @ your new custom.
You and D-res both wanted to have the last word. I think that's why I stopped reading the TA Political Forum. Everyone there always wanted to have the last word (including myself) even when it didn't make any sense.

Yes, Mebots, but you have red hair. You do what you want and we just bat our eyelashes and giddily giggle.
:clown:
By the way, Mebots, I quoted Tribu in our thread for you; that post will be lost when our board returns. Did you see the post? If not, I will pm you. My aim doesn't seem to be working. |
