ok so we all know that that hip hop is...

but I really like hiphop beats... especially like the one featured in Royksopp - Eple! :)

Can anyone recommend me an electronic artist whose albums are comprised of hip hop beats without rapping?

Would you mind telling me these "obvious reasons" since I seem to be ignorant in this matter?

the obvious reasons are:

-rapping

You don't know anything about hip hop, do you? How can you bash something without knowing the first thing about it? Rapping is an essential part of hip hop and it's not just that "mo money, mo hoes" they play on MTV. That's just like saying all the commercial cheesy dance is trance.

And as for the clichés... c'mon, like trance doesn't have any clichés? FFS, 90% of the tracks released these days follow the exact same formula.

Now, I'm not much of a hip hop fan either but bashing it just because it doesn't happen to suit your tastes is idiotic.

I'm not even going to bother searching for that old hip hop thread where nearly the first 50 replies were bashing hip hop.

just forget it

Remove the "ok so we all know that that hip hop totally sucks ass for obvious reasons but" bit from your post and I might take you seriously. Silly child.

Try listening to some Elite Force productions, they got good stuff.

And theres no reason for bashing hip hop. Unless you're talkin about mainstream rap music, then bash that as much as you want.

I love hiphop beats. I especially like ones that are sampled, or re-makes of old tunes.

You might say "well it doesn't take any musical skill to sample" but it's amazing what you can do with an old Marvin Gaye track :eyespop:
