Do you guys ever do it? When i read threads i will subconciously skip certain peoples posts because i know there not worth my time.
Or do you just use the ignore function? |
|

I don't use the ignore function.
every once in a while it worth reading *just* enough of certain people's posts to remember why you usually don't bother reading them. |

Weird, I never thought about it before but I think that's what I do too.
Some people take it to an extreme though - that is, some people just read the 1st post of the thread and immediately hit the "Reply" button to throw in their two cents - often making themselves look like fools, for instance, in the fake same-day-as-Tiesto event thread. |

People like this should just stick to MSN. There is no point being on a messagboard when MSN messanger will do the trick. |

Jay, how would MSN do the trick? There's not necessarily any coherency to it, we all post at different times on different issues. Message boards still serve an important purpose when you're talking about a very LARGE group of people that know each other. And as she said, every now and then we'll get some intelligent or funny posts from a n00b. But not often, which is the reason for ignoring them most of the time.
If you can't figure out why the active members ignore some people, maybe you need to stop and think for a few minutes. |

Just that her response sounded a bit cliquey. If she doesnt know the person its not worth her time sort of thing. |
