I turned it off in the middle...what happened?

I see a lot of movies on here that I actually, really liked...

They happened to be ones where, once I got done watching them, thought to myself: "wow - if I were a real dumbass, I would have hated that movie." :happy2:

Misunderstanding and ignorance are often very common roots for dislike.

As for me...I would have to say...uhh...I can't think of the last movie I saw that I didn't like...I have good taste in the things I spend 2+ hours experiencing ;)

There was the one movie with Andy Garcia in it though - I think it was called 'The Unsaid' and I was compelled by my father to watch it with his girlfriend and him one night...kind of a 'family activity' sort of thing

Well his plan totally backfired, as the movie turned out to be about an angsty teen who liked to murder teenage girls because his own mother raped him as a 7 year-old :wtf: :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

I didn't like that movie...:sadgreen:

See, I find that a lot of movies I like, other people my age will hate. For example, I loved "Vanilla Sky"! I thought it was a genius movie, but others thought it was stupid, most likely cause they didn't get it.

Oh well :)

I felt Vanilla Sky was weak, I guess I am too black and white to ponder its underlying questions. That and ive seen better genius written on the back of bar napkins.

I've never seen Vanilla sky, but there are movies where you just want to ask everyone involved in it "What the is the point". "What are you trying to acheive? The acting is superficial, the plot is entirely predictable, the effects are unrealistic, the characters are shallow. Do you expect this film to be a classic?"

Ouch... perhaps I have bad taste in films then. But I think I liked it because I read a lot into it.
