I know that some people djing just for be popular with girls...
I spin just because i love to spin... i dont care about money, girls, smoke, etc
But, two years ago, when i was spinning, a girl in a club come close to me and say "i love the deejays. they drive everything here... they are so beautiful up here... like you."
I dont want to say how finished this story, but anyway, can you tell me if i'm the only with a story like that?. |

| I think your probably the only one with a story quite like that, but yeah most dj's come across similar circumstances, I know I have. To be honest I'm only in it for the smoke! Can't get enough of those smoke machines :D |

i suppose in my opinion there are two types of girls.. the dj hoes who yes, like male djs because they are in fact djs...
however then there are the rest of us, who find it silly, as 98% of all male djs are extremely unattractive :)
its quite ironic, since most girl djs are only given a chance if they are attractive... whereas there are tons of male djs, all of which are not that good looking. dont tell the dj hoes tho :p |

| are you the only one with a story like that? HELL NO!..well Ive been told as much, but nothing happened(blame me, or her puking her guts out) on the other hand there have been occasions where fewer words were exchanged, we just hook up(thinking its a normal thing) and then BAM shes gone..now I (the DJ) also feel like a slut... |

well i'm with barry in the 2 percentile. wuttup my man! i've had girls come up and talk to me at the house parties i've spun at but nothing too exciting. i'm spinning my first club gig this weekend though so if something happens i'll let ya know. but i'm pretty sure that i'll end up going home with my girl. she's not a dj hoe though. she doesn't even like trance. SACRILEGE!!!!

LOL.
The bad part about DJ'ing is that you can't dance in the crowd and hook up. |

you're totally right about that.... people saying 'I want to be a dj', just because it seems that it has grown in some kind of trendy thing. You're interesting if you're a DJ 'because of the attention', 'because you're more special than the guy/girl next to you on the dancefloor because the dj is on a stage', 'because you know a lot of interesting people'.... PUGE!
There are soooo many people acting like that, unbelievable... guys who introduce themselves as managers of a club, promoters, whatever.. I already don't believe another word from them if they start off with telling me that. Most of them want just want to show off by 'knowing the DJ' (like THAT's something special, DJ's are also just human!), and aren't interested in you as a person or in your music.
About girls being asked to play because of their looks: you don't get there by looks only. Being a girl also has disadvantages: people look at you like 'o, another girl trying to be special' or 'it's a girl, so she can't play (as if playing music is only something guys could do!)
Girls have to do a lot more than guys to prove themselves!!! |
