Toronto Subway Secrets

Very cool bit of trivia about Toronto:

Subway Secrets
Most people don't know there's another station under Bay/Bloor, just like at St. George and Yonge/Bloor. Nowadays they use it for shooting movies and commercials (eg Johnny Mnemonic, and the Oh Henry! spot). Years ago it was used in regular service, as a loop from University to Yonge, and also part of 'integrated' service, where all three subway lines were linked. Now it's locked up, very dirty, and falling apart.

We should throw a party there.

No kidding!

Yeh this was posted a while ago. But nevertheless, it is still quite a cool fact. Definately would be an awesome party location!

What about that tunnel that you can see when travelling north that heads off in a westerly direction?

It was pointed out to me one night while riding the puke-train up to Steeles.

yea i noticed that one. most ppl don't notice it because the train picks up alotta speed to head to sheppard. One day i noticed it and from then, i've been trying to watch it. It goes on for some distance. I don't know if it ends or it just...keeps on going.

Also one more secret most people haven't noticed is that between Finch and Davisville, there is a third track that leads right to the subway service station at davisville.

supposedly there is also an unfinished station underneath the Queen or Osgoode station as well (can't remember which, I think it might be Osgoode); it was partially built during the original construction of the station above and was to be finished when the Queen subway line was built (which obviously never happened)
