No way (unless Orko can prove me wrong) ! I think he's refering to the CD that was released which is supposedly the best recording of that legandary set. If memory serves me correctly some of those tracks featured on that mix aren't even available on vinyl. Dat only ... and we all know how big of a perfecto whore Oakie is with his tracks.

For me... Daft Punk live at Syrous "HyperActive" at Toronto Congress Centre, September 4th, 1999. Contrary to popular opinion here, they performed quite well, especially considering the sound situation (huge open conference floor).

Amazing show, crazy-wicked venue (it hadn't yet opened for business), and great friends.

Highlight of the evening tied between seeing a guy and a girl all over eachother, covered in green glowing goop and trying to convince a guy it wasn't a good idea to try to drink water out of a rough-in that hadn't yet had anything attached to it yet.

Sander Kleinenberg Aug 8th 2003 at Stereo. Had been wanting to see this guy for 2 years and no one brought him to toronto. Found out he had a residency at Stereo and got a train ticket, but no hotel room. This was probably the only time in my life I can say I truely got high off just MDA or MDMA, and the set sounded rediculously fantastic. When he played the inkfish remix of Medway's Trauma, and Double Dee's Shining [Scumfrog remix], I just about lost it.

i was working at a time, but 2 of mu friends got in the car, drove to montreal went to see him, had breakfast and came back to kw.

they told me so much about that set, like how the music was sick, and around closing time he was teasing people with flaslight like "what, u tired huh??? NO STOPPING NOW", and other that he was pulling that night.

mine list :

-2002 haloween @ system, mistress b. - UNREAL, fog machine was on for so long it was like a swamp and only strob was on and she was playing some sick tribal-techno or whatever i was sure that im in some jungle, it was unreal that night

-2004 Dj Mute @ charies ( i think it was labour of love, charlies was TATA room that night) - after getting ed in my brain by sanders 1 hour set (i was late), went to represent Mute, i walked inside and first thing that i noticed was this girl standing in front of dj booth, jumping and screaming and then THE BEAT hit me. that set was soo good, after he was done i sat trough entire night cause i didnt had an ounce of energy left. i told him so many times "u was sick that night" but i dont think that he takes me seriously. im not saying this cause he's my friend, but that guy could be the next big thing around, that set was 20 thumbs up.

ed up on drugs, booze and 3 days of straight up partying:

-2004 scumfrog @ boa - my best friend from serbia was visiting, we went crazy for day or a 2 and then went to check out scumfrog. my second time at boa (first time was sander, wasnt too many people and didnt had super fun), we walked in around 4:45 am. when i got up those stairs i lost my mind for at least 5 min. i was just standing there thinking "what the is going on here", so different than my first time, packed with people, so many good looking girls and then i heard him playing drums. and that was it. i totally lost it, that set was ********, ing guy. i was so impressed, when he finished i walked up there and talked to him i think my words were "you're ing sick man". i never saw somebody enjoying his own set like he did, and everybody did as well.

and of course, life changing exerience:

-2003 kool haus, seing THE MASTER for the very first time : AVB

picture this : 300 pounder, sweaty like a pig, literally RIPPING THE DANCEFLOOR apart, totally lost in the music, and some 10-15 people trying to tell me something, but i didnt wanted to listen to them. and then finally i understood "man, dj is talking to you" looked up to see him smiling and jumping like a maniac, pointing at me and saying something. i couldnt talk to him then, waited for the him to finish, then went over there, i was thanking him for the set and only thing that i remember was him saying "im really glad that u enjoyed my set man" with the big grin on his face. that was the best set ever (that i've seen live) 27 thumbs up, best set ever and im not that much into trance.

just in case you wandering : i have this thing, if i really REALLY like the set i will try and talk to dj, just to let him/her know that im gratefull for it. some people say its a weird thing to do. those people.

there is some more but im kinda burned out, so when i remember, ill write about it

Actually i was there and i remember their mixing was complete e. What may have saved them (and possibly what you heard) is that Sneak went on and did a back to back set later on with them. If I remember correctly they also did a live PA which was OK but nothing special. The party itself was great though. It was one of the last huge massives i ever went to in Toronto. (i think there were 20,000 there).

Until Green Velvet decided he wanted to be a pop star, his live performances were always the best aside from the chemical brothers in my opinion.

you sir are correct. I have the original cds gold+silver, released by Cream in 94. i dont believe these songs were even released because some of them are movie scores; the main reason it could never be officially sold like an album, no licencing.

and what kind of top dj would be if he didnt have those tracks which just craved, but couldnt get?

Orko
So far Danny T, Piccoto, Armin, and Ferry are leadin with the most references.

common people, did nobody else bow down in front of the Chem Bros!?

Yeah, but despite the technical shortcomings in their performance, I still was blown away by the fact that Daft Punk was playing right before my eyes, and that I was sharing the experience in a huge, exciting venue, with a dozen of my friends and thousands of strangers.

The only other two times that I can remember where I've come close to dancing so hard and long would probably be Mark EG on Friday night in the hangar at Dunfield Airstrip during WEMF 2000, and Hatiras playing a crazy set at Subsonic's night at the Well in Ottawa.
