as much as you're all bashing this genre because of ASSassin
I would like to say that I still listen and like to dance at this genre. as a matter of fact... I LOVE trance.
But I also listen to progressive, some techno, and a little very little bit of house.
at any party... as long as i'm with cool friends who are into this, like you are... when I'm at Aria (or anywhere else) and I see a smile on your faces dancing on NONE-trance music... it puts a smile on mine.

I love Trance, Techno, and Prog house
some house sometimes
and ambiant
and some nice Jazzy ambient with more beat to it

I was into House long before I was into Trance, so the argument that so many make about "moving on from Trance to Techno/House" just simply doesn't fly. Trance may have a lot more commercial appeal than say Techno, but that doesn't mean it's for uneducated EDM lovers.
I really enjoy House, Prog, Breaks, Techno and Trance, and seem to hop between those genres on a bi-weekly basis. There's just as much cheesy being made in the other 4 genres as there are in Trance too.
And seriously, this is TRANCEaddict, so I don't think there's much room for hating the genre. |

Agreed, I myself started into edm throught house, then techno then enventually trance. And i would have to say my top two right now are trance/techno. Was listening the Scott Bond on the way to work this morning. But i also change style almost daily, depends on my mood.
As for trance not being go to dance to. that's stupid. There plenty of other types of music that have breaks in the beet and you can still dance fine, and not every trance track has a long period us uplifting strings with no base. like other mention. Only some. And i love those parts. you get to relax and just breath in the atmoshpere of the night. Normally reminds you of where you are and how great things are. Techno just keeps going. its like a train that isnt stop(great some times)

I dont really like trance anymore but this is what introduce me to edm music.....
there are still some tracks i like to hear...but the music in general dont give me the feeling it use to
im more into techno/electro/little house/little prog
ps: charlie you should name the thread...the music I like.... |
