simple: if they got drunk, they'd like rabbits.... |

Maybe they deprive themselves of sex so that when they are married, they hump like rabbits and keep reproducing to keep the church populated.

Here those silver rings mean you're on a serious relationship, so it can be quite the opposite, I must say :p |

So, tonight, one of my Christian cousins whom I haven't seen in months invites me over to a 'meeting place' that he and his friends go to every Friday night. I decided to check it out cause I'm always down for something different.
I go to the meeting place, actually a well-decked out shed(complete with kitchen/bathroom)in the middle of farm country. I run late and see that everybody there(all in late teens to late twenties) is sitting down, listening intently to a speaker on a little makeshift stage. Since I don't really consider myself religious, all I really heard was: "Jesus this, God that, live your life for God, porn is bad-do not look at it online, try not to cuss, blah, blah, blah... Let's pray. Amen." Applause.
After the speech, which I figured must have gone for maybe an hour and a half(I only caught part of the last half hour), everybody got up and started playing pool or cards or foosball table or just ended up talking to each other. People started drinking... Pepsi(and only Pepsi too). An older guy came in the shed with a bible and started talking to one of the younger guys(who I knew was just recently baptized). The older guy was pointing out passages to the newbie. Christian rock blared in the background. It felt like a cult.
I was so out of place... and all I could focus on was this girl with a big, nice round ass playing pool. Everytime she bent over to shoot, I just stared! :D Then I started noticing about 95% of the people there had silver rings on(which meant abstinence till marriage)... including the girl with the big ass. There was a couple other nice looking girls there too but they all had silver rings. That was it.
Went up to my silver ring wearing cousin, told him I had to go. "Aren't you having fun?" he asks. I lied and said, "Yeah, but I got somewhere else I got to be." And I left.
Usually my Friday nights are spent on alcohol, clubbin, and/or strip clubs... different strokes for different folks, huh? |
Point in all this: Pepsi supports Christianity. |

| Welp, that sure as isn't my scene, but at least they're not vandalizing the neighborhood or getting into drunken car accidents. |

You guys have a lot of misconceptions of Christianity. As a Christian, drinking is ok, drunkeness is not (not to say that I don't get drunk, but it's not something God likes).
Christians that don't indulge in these things, do so by choice, not guilt. The whole point of christianity is that we all mess up and are forgiven, if we ask.
I will agree that some Christian meetings can be really weird, and, sometimes, cultish, but that's not always the case. I have a lot of other Christian friends that drink, but they don't try to get trashed. I feel the same dilemna with Christian girls though. I wish I could find one that I could vibe with, but they just seem so different and naive. I respect your guys opinions, but you are generalizing. |
