For those who may have spotted me, I was the "undead soldier", wearing green army clothes with a big bloody gash on my arm held together by safety pins and 2 bloody bullet holes in my face.
The night was awesome for me right away when Dr.Trance dropped "Draft 2 Design - Affection over Reason (basic draft mix)".... that simply killed me.
Then OS2 well-prepared the main room for Dumonde's set. Fast and energetic trance ...and it's just what we needed.
It seems that no Destiny event goes without "Murder was the Bass" either... lol!!
Great to see every1 in costume too. I met a few TAs there, but not every1 that apparently was there.... oh well...
It was also quite a relief to get driven this time, so I was able to get well sloshed!!!... heheh... my friends say I made a rather funny drunk, but no abnoxious like the ones we all hate.
see you all @ Boa for Orkidea!!!!!!! w00t!!!:D :D |

Decided late in the afternoon to go, didn't know what to expect. Didn't know how long I was going to last when I first walked in, wasn't in the mood for the young thugs - but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
Dumonde, first time hearing them - amazing, they killed me, my back and legs are still hurting (i really shouldn't have played squash in the afternoon).
Mark, Dan, Nat it was great hanging out with you as usual, Chris really nice meeting you for the first time - hope to see you out again. |

I got to the venue @ roughly 2:20, before that I was partying it up w/ the Russian massive @ UofT - my legs were hurting since we also had to walk from Union station all the way to the Docks. But, let me tell you, once I walked in it was like a breath of fresh air for me. The dance floor had LOADS of dance space.
In the DJ booth - OS/2, ripping up the decks with sick beats, which immediately lifted all my ails away and put me in a state of trancey bliss :D. Amazing set, simply perfect tracklisting, just what I needed.
Then, just when I thought it couldn't get any better, Dumonde came on. These guys just blow me away every time I see them, all tracks had so much energy - it was unreal. Plus, I love to see DJs having fun behind the decks and interacting with the crowd the way Dumonde did.
The only bad part is that I had to leave @5:30 since we wanted to catch the shuttle bus, and that's when it was making its last run.
Last night definitely ranks up top as one of the parties with the best atmosphere and music. Very glad I went. |

Holy what a frecken gift that was! Jess and I a blast! Great vibes and amazing tunage.
showed up at 1:30 - got right in to the jungle madness - couldn't wait for the 4x4. OS2.... woah, havn't heard him pull that off in a while. Blew me away with the age of love - i thought it was the orig, but someone said it was the Marco v rmx - regardless i always dreamed of hearing that at the docks because I missed Atlantis - when Jam and Spoon came to TO. Then he drops that new GTR track - sick tune, and it was all skyward from there.
Dumonde... everyone knows about their set... Jess and I were so relieved to hear music like that in Toronto again. Hard, Melodic, Energetic = perfect. perfect flow, and everything. about 45 min to 1 hour before thier set ended they droped this one unbelievably massive track, and I don't know what it is, but I really really want to... aparently its not released yet. when it is, I need to hear it again!!!
Thank you Destiny, Temporal, Tranceaddict for your joint efforts for bringing what us and all the true trance lovers, crave and need. I love the fact that Toronto has these solid trance parties come around every once in a while
Saw some great familliars and met some really great spirits... hope to see you on the floor again in the future.
Here's a pic of Jess with Dumonde. They droped Tomorrow, and Never Look Back - which she went nuts for.

| How was Kenny Glasgow???? |

^^^ The dance floor was relatively sparse for Kenny and his opening stuff felt "tame" compared to Dumonde...maybe it was because it felt like whatever energy was left by the end of Dumonde dissipated during the changeover. It reminded me of Marco V at Guv...killer set that sapped every ounce of energy out of me.
Did anyone stick around until the end? 1/2 hour into Kenny's set and we were out...my legs are sooooo sore today :p |

I got in there with My friends Dan (Playa24_7 here on the forums), Paulina, and Sara.
Dan and I went out to the patio to have a few drinks while Sara and Paulina stayed inside in the little side room (they couldn't take the DnB/jungle) and chilled out for a bit. I was thinking to myself "what in the am I doing here with these 16 year old wannabe thugs and this drum'n'bass stuff..." Went back inside for a bit.
Got a bit thirsty again, came outside, got 2 more beers, went to walk up the little incline, got stopped by none other than robbie g. Did the ol' meet'n'greet thing, and he then mentioned he was with tatgirl, maxtuh, and dallastar, whom I all met and had a good time with for the next hour and a half or so. A little bit after that, I met walter mindz (sorry if that's not your actual TA nick dude!) and his girlfriend liquidchick (who has become a lurker, hehe). Not to forget, their friend (I think) Arbi, who was dressed up like Goofy, haha.
A bit after that, still outside, up wanders amb_, whom I introduce myself to, and he says "HEY LOOK OUT I'M THE GAY DUDE CHECKING YOU OUT FROM THE STAGE!" I was pretty faced by this time, so this was hilarious and I almost spit my beer out at it (Blue is a filthy, ty beer). Nice to meet ya man, and sorry about that previous comment, hahaha.
Also inside, on the stage licensed area, I met another TA wearing Gulf War camo, I forget your TA name but I think it started with a P. I'm sorry, I'm a bit tipsy still :)
By this time, OS/2 had hit the decks, and us TAs were on the licensed stage area full force, doin our thing. Dumonde came on, and Dan (Playa24_7) came to get me to bring me down to the dancefloor with the 2 girls we were with, reluctantly, I was having way too much fun with you TAs :D :D :D
Anyway, next time folks, can't wait to party with you all again. You girls and guys turned a ty night filled with 16 year old thugs into an awesome night of good tunes and good drinkin times :D :D :D

I was glad to see & meet some more TAs like you Vertigo & you pal Dan...I had an amazing time but it didn't really start til AFTER the DnB in the main room...THere we're some very cool costumes & I even saw Osama cruising the dancefloor:gsmile: ...I barelly recoginzed Del in his "camo" army gear (very kewl;) )...I also got to meet one of the Dumonde guys but I forgot his name...It was my first time seeing these guys live & they were SO awesome that I can't wait to see them live again.I must have danced my ass off 'cause I woke up with sore legs but it was all worth it.
I was really happy to see that you can go outside to drink & that the Docks had a bar set up outside.THis was very smart I thought because the stage itself would have been rammed with people who wanted to drink.
ANyway I want to thank Destiny for putting together a great party & hope that The Docks will again be a future site for Destiny parties.

I yelled "DURKA DURKA MOHAMMED JIHAD!!" (ala "Team America: World Police") to the Osama dude, to which he replied by raising a toy AK-47 gun in the air & started "firing" it terrorist style. Whatta joker! |
