Im interested to hear how Unkles sounds were accepted on a Saturday at Guv ? |

comparomg previous reviews to what i heard last night unkle didnt drop their typical set, they played a fairly progressive set with a bit of trance at the end. they had a couple technical diffucties but im guess that was the fault of the guv and no doing of thier own.
so basically it wasnt a rock show, it was a normal dj set with some fairly good beats, nothing to drive a crowd wild but were accepted well by the club goers.
guv was soo full that im guessing that about half the people didnt even care about the music. |

i found unkle to be pretty bad in terms of some of their mixes..this is AFTER the technical difficulties...they were however awesome with the crowd..nice of that guy in the toque to come on the mic with his strong english accent and ask for the crowds patience...
musicly tho..holy ..song after song (even if some were crap mixes)..amazing stuff.

jeff, did you read the tribe reviews?
from what I heard lavelle was cracked out as , and caused several LARGE trainwrecks of mixes. Was only allowed behind the decks for like 5-6 mixes cuz he was really not in a state of mind do do anything constructive. |

THAT explains it...he looked pretty bad but i just figured thats how he usually looked...hahaha |

I am SO GLAD I saw them in a small venue with a dedicated following with James Levelle sober. Their gig sounded disappointing. Glad MO played well.
I heard the Guv was pretty crazy that night. Who won the costume awards? Any pics of the night? |
