Bush won. The news networks are just trying to milk this for all it's worth, and at this point that's not much. Bush has 249 electoral votes down, and is leading by 140,000 in Ohio with 99% of precincts reporting. Does anyone honestly believe that that last 1% plus absentee ballots is going to give Kerry a 140,000 vote push? It's not. That puts Bush at 269, which is all he needs to win since the house would vote him in. It won't happen that way though, because he'll win at least 2-3 other states.
I'm more than a bit disappointed, but I honestly wouldn't really have been optimistic about the direction of the country with Kerry in charge either. The only reason I voted for him was under the assumption that the GOP would control Congress and none of his initiatives would pass anyway. |

It's over!
The secretary of state of Ohio just declared that there are not enough provisional votes out there to to be able put put Kerry ahead of Bush.
So Bush has Ohio and the presidency! it doesn't matter what the remaining states have, it's over. Now we are just waiting for the official declaration and for Kerry to concede. He should do this very soon.
