| for selfish reasons i dont want any US immigrants in Canada. that. If they want they can start a revolution. ill help them fight. but more people coming into toronto = real estate going way the uop even higher and we're renting right now and looking to buy just waiting for prices to drop. but they wont if 100 000 ppl come from the states seeking asylum |

Dude we're not gonna see anybody from the states seeking "asylum". Americans don't go to other countries looking for welfare and a comfortable ethnic community where they don't have to learn another language. I doubt 99% of them would have any interest in emigrating to Canada at all, and of the ones that would, I doubt they'd want to move to Toronto and deal with the ridiculous taxes/insurance/real estate/traffic/pretentiousness/anti-Americanism. They'd probably go to Alberta or Northern Ontario if they came at all.
I seriously wouldn't worry though. For every American moving to Canada there are probably 50 Canadians moving to the USA. I agree with you that we need to cut Toronto's population in half, hell we need to cut about 80% of it, but the problem is not with immigration from the USA, it's with refugees and 3rd-world welfare chasers. |

yeah trust me i didnt believe they would come. i was just saying if they did. one thing abt toronto star or any other newspaper there is out there is that its 80% lies. my brothers friend had a fiancee that died around 3 years ago, found dead in her apartment, in the newspaper they reported that their were investigations seeing if the fiancee murdered her. anyways to make a long story short she really died of some disease :rolleyes: and the cause of death was known the day after she died |

well, talking from a european experience: real estate prices almost never drops... doubt it would be too different here? if you are planning on buying, buy now, its just silly to wait cause you will probably never get lower prices... |
