Looking for a reliable external hard drive

Hi, TOTAs! I am looking for a large external hard drive, about 250-350GB in size, in the price range of $250-450 (taxes and shipping included), a reliable brand that you are recommending for either your own experience, or suggested by someone else.

I have been having a hard time finding a great hard drive for my music since I got a PC this month, so I am asking your help - information like pictures, addresses and stores in southern ontario only, please - credit card maybe an issue. Thank you.

get an external USB/FIREWIRE tray and buy a hardrive for it :)

should be cheaper, but maybe bigger in size.

I have 2 x 250 GB with an external USB/Firewire setup and it is wicked.

I got my from http://www.tigerdirect.ca and paid under $200 CAD each (shipping and taxes included).

TigerDirect is great.. i just picked up a Harddrive enclosure there for around 70 bucks .. has USB2 and Firewire support .. the USB2 speeds are great!

BTW - the above price was with rebates (filled out online and then were deposited directy into my PayPal account - which was a bonus).

$50 rebate on the drive and $20 rebate on the enclosure - I don't see the rebates/deal listed on the site (purchased ~6 weeks ago).

this is exactly what i would have suggested too.

getting a pure external harddrive is for suckers. the enclosure will do the same job, for a much lower price.
