For those that don't understand what the hell I'm on about, my name was 'spec' and I was banned for making this comment:

Now for starters if the powers that be could not tell I was not serious with that comment they need to take a course in 'not taking everything so ing seriusly 101', and I was totally over-the-top. |

oh yeah i remember that thread... i dunno i think it's kind of hard to tell that you were joking with that comment.. you didnt post a :p or a :thepirate or jk or anything like that... |

I don't like to use those signs all that much, I feel its a cheap substitute for making a point using the written language, a little bit of cheating, but I don't mind if everyone else uses them. |

There's no need to be so self-conscious about yourself and what other people may think about you. There's only so much that people can infer about you from your posts(unless you talk to a lot of TA's on MSN/Yahoo etc.) and what I can infer is you are a decent poster.
Also, your ranking does not matter much. You could make over a 1000 posts the majority of which could be absolute (Mattsanity for example :p ) so your rank is no criteria. Quality over quantity always. |

yeah but then not using those emoticon makes it hard to understand if you are joking or not.
I mean even if you didn't use an emoticon, you could've at least said, just kidding .. or i didnt mean that or something.. |
