Wish me luck in two days I am playing a *real* club for the first time

I've played on the radio and house parties, but never in a real club. I'm the second DJ and will be opening up for the main headlining DJ. I plan on starting really slow and build it up for the headliner. I really hope to work the club into a frenzy by the time my shift is over!

three years DJ'ing has finally reached the pinnacle point.

Wish me luck and anyone have any suggestions?

I will be playing progressive (James Holden style).

Good luck! :D

I don't have much advice because I never played in a club before but try your best and don't get too discouraged if you make a small mistake, chances are nobody will notice.

never played in a club before, only house parties, but the most important thing when playing in any enviroment, is to feel the crowd, and dont play too hard, you dont want them to have no energy left for the headliner :)

i am stoked for u, its such a good feeling, just having ur name on the bill. the firts club i played was a benifit for cancer, only like 40 people came (easily 250 capacity) but at least they didnt leave!

How did you do? were you nervous? any mistakes? What was it like trying to read the crowd?

i actually didnt do to bad, i wa mixing some house, and i was really comfortable with my set, but it went well, it was a b2b with a freind, and me and him really flow well together, i was hella nervous but once i got into it, i didnt want to get off the stage!

Good luck man, my advice, is during that day, try and have a good time, don't let anything bother you, and when you play, get right in and involved in the crowd.

Good Luck mate... Remember that an amazing tracklist and flow to the set, will outweigh any mistake's that may come up... just don't worry about them...

and most important.

HAVE ING FUN!!!! :D :D :D
