Most disappointing release of 2001???

Hey TA's,
Just wondering what you think the most disappointing release of 2001 has been. By this i mean songs that created a lot of hype and anticipation before their release and then actually turned out to be not as good as everyone was hoping. I think:
Fire & Ice - Souvenir De Chine
has been my biggest disappointment, followed closely by:
Rank 1 - Such Is Life
However, i think that:
Rising Star - Clear Blue Moon
Dumonde vs Lange - Memory
have both lived up to their expectations. What do you think? |

i like fire + ice - souvenir de chine
i think rank 1 - such is life was a letdown.
i think no new gouryella this year is the biggest letdown though. :( |

I think it could have been much better if they got a better remixer or kept it as many miles too soon.
I think the flutlich remix of fields of joy is cool. my fave at the mo. |

I like both Souvenir De Chine and Such Is Life. I wouldn't say they're top notch, but I like'em both. I personally don't see how everyone raves about Dumonde vs Lange - Memory, I don't like it at all. Those are MY TASTES/OPINIONS and nothing more. |

I didn't like Dumonde-Lange's "Memory" at all. Why is everyone so ecstatic about Dumonde?
"Memory" is crap, imo. Not professional or interesting enough. An amateur could have written it in a day or two. |

| oh man biggest let down is definitely push - the legacy... after hearing the album version I was stoked about the rerelease. Boy was I dissapointed.. what a piece of trash! |

You've got a point there... It's nothing like some of Dumonde's other tracks, with the powerful synth riffs... this one just has a simple synth melody... not very powerful at all...
The vocals are good though, IMO
And how could you not like Push - The Legacy? It's probably one of the best tracks this year so far, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so... |
