Hate to tell u this, but yes, Airwave - Breathing was played by Piet.
And that was Orkidea's "Requiem" that Mark played, right after the Solar Stone remix of Young Parisians- 'Last Train' (< SUCH a great tune!). "Requiem" got such a HUGE positive reaction from the crowd, too. Too bad Tapio (Orkidea) had already left by then. Many of you got to meet Orkidea tonight at the club. He stayed til 3:30am. I, miraculously, closed the Guv down. It's been a LONG time since I've done that. Was surprised on my way out to see that Swamper had done the same thing. ;)
Funniest part of the evening was when Mark was saying his thanks over the microphone to all the acts & patrons at the end of the night, and then announces: "...and if you're looking for the after-party, its at Nat & Graham's house. That's Nat & Graham's house".

Well, now I'm awake.
Pretty good night at the Guv, although the crowd was the usual... Asians, Asians and more Asians :rolleyes:
Junkie XL was good, but he was very slow, kept building up to something then bringing it down?
Rank 1... Woot!!! Piet played a fantastic set, lots of classics. But why was he on for only 2 hours? Let's see, I remember hearing "Breathing", "Awakening", "Superstring" <-- :D, "Silence", "Just Be", "Strange World (?)" plus many more classics.
That's what I love about Rank 1, you can always expect a classic trance night. Perhaps Piet will be post the tracklisting like he did before.
On a final note, it was nice to meet the one and only Orkidea! :) Thanks to all the TAs I met last night, you guys made it fun!

Although it is ironic that I comment about there being "Asians, Asians and more Asians", we all know what kind we're talking about. :rolleyes:
Classics include that circle of 10 people holding hands in the middle of the dancefloor, all wearing sunglasses but looking at the floor while the aroma of Tiger Balm wafts in the vincinity. :haha:
Let's not forget those ones that pass out on the speaker then throw up right in front of you! :eek:
Finally, the standard wallflowers distributed through the entire club not moving but just staring at the DJ and taking up valuable real estate. :eyespop: |

Good times as usual. It was great meeting even more TA's last night, sorry I cant remember everyones name.
Piet did play BREATHING, and I was in ahhh....
some many good tracks + so many good friends = GREAT party
