Excelent night, music wise. lots of room to dance (- the floor mess up at the front, yuk)
Mark = solid as always, not my thing that night but that was fulfilled by piet
JXL=Caught a little. seemed good, though crowed wasn't too much into it. nice tunes.
Rank 1 = Excelent stuff. Was waiting for a full anthem set and he didn't dissipoint. He was kind enough to do an interview aswell. shall be on amplifiedradio.com in 4 weeks, download ASAP (one i get the interviews up)
PPL: respect to ALL the TA;s I was hanging out with. nice to sing a few songs (aka chinaman and danielle). Nice to catch the rest of you, Chris, Nat, Graham, Alex and the dozens more.

junkie xl was good but not as good as the last time at KH
rank1 came on and since ive always hates his style i just left cuz im not really a fan of trance vocals type of music even though avb trance is en amazing |

there wasn't that many vocal trance that rank 1 played. pretty much avb plays, rank 1 played too. so i dont see your point if you think avb is amazing |

Rank 1 I preferred over Junkie XL personally and Mark Olver continued his Toronto rampage although Friday was one of the best sets I have ever heard him play so it would be hard to top that but none the less his onslaught continued and will continue at a club near you!:whip:
Saturday once again proved my point that Mark Oliver can play at the same level or better than most dj's:toocool: OHHHHHHH CANADA!!!!! LOL |

Ok, so far all the songs discusses have all been sick, but i have to add Thrillseekers - Synasethesia (ferry 2004 mix) f-ing sick, Marco V - Automanual, and junkie dropped Dirty Sticky floors, all great tracks not yet mentioned.
As for the crowd, GUV has its usual cracked out peps. last night was just F^&*ed. I have never seen, or maybe noticed so many weirdos in that place. At one point my buddy goes "Look at those 2 chinese dudes behind you, they are ed" I look back and one guy has his glasses on and he is looking at something in front of him, but he was not moving one but, and his buddy was beside him with his head down like he was dead but standing. WTF, how can you be so screwed up.

lol i'm not comparing, it's a matter of fact. you didn't hear what rank 1 played at GUV. those tracks are what armin plays too. if you consider what rank 1 played at GUV that night as vocal trance, please call armin wanna-be-prog or cheesy a state of trash. funny how you didn't even hear their set and jumped to such conclusions |

Had an amzing time at Guv...Mark as usual throwed a great opener and setup the nite perfectly...I was again quite impressed with Junkie XL's set...Altho it did seem that he didn't had the same energy that he displayed @KH for Decadence...Also the track selection was pretty much the same except a few new tracks...Still a good set by him
Rank1 were very impressive....Great track selection and flawless mixing were the highlights of their set...track of the night for me was Dream Machine...Altho i prefer the Original Mix but I have hardly ever heard the song in a club,so I was just happy with the track being played...wish they could have gone on for a lil longer...
Mark again killed it at the end...there's is this one song that he's playing at Guv for the past few weeks...It's a Techno track with male vocals....the vocals as i understand them are 'U know what??' and then the driving bass kicks in with the meoldy....I know it's a vague descripion of the song but if anyone knows the track pls ID it...

Well, im at work, but I think im FINALLY un-sketchy enuff that I can write a review
WHut a n KILLER night…. Man, I don’t think ive ever felt just so GOOD after leaving an event even tho Mark shutter down at 7 instead of the 8am close I was expecting.
There was a great TA turnout, so glad to have met you LittlePoonzgirl, u can bust it up on that dance floor… hope to see u next time, ur a real cool girl, loved ur energy!! To all the others TAs that I met and forget ur names… what can I say ? my memory just plain sucks (hmm, I wonder if it’s the drugs?? :conf: )
Trancechaos and ub3ertrancer , n good times man! So glad I partied with yall. The pre-meet up was such a good idea! Glad to finally have met u ub3ertrancer! Cant wait to party with both of you in the new year! :)
Now onto the night, man, im serious, I think this was one of the sickest parties ive attended this year, and it was soley bc of the people. I loved the music, but the ppl really made it so killer. To start off, meeting up with trancecaos and ub3rtrancer before hand was great.. then I had my friend who pretty much HATES this kinda music decide to go. I had gotten her roommate addict to these trance parties at the Guvernment 8 Year and so she was coming again to this one. So since she was going (and she wasn’t a chick who like this music either) my girl katy decided to give it a try! Man did she ever love it (I believe “thats the best party EVER that ive been to” were her exact words)
Then to top it off, My cous also showed up with a friend… Man, just a solid group of peps I attended this with!
I wasn’t digging mark’s opening set that much (actually, I didn’t think it was MO , bc to me it didn’t sound like his typical style), but then Junkie came on, actually just around dhte same time my first E kicked in (good planning eh?) and he just brought that place to their knees, everyone was digging him so much! It was so awesome to see. I didn’t know whut ot expect form Junkie since id never heard a set of his, but man was I ever not disappointed. Definitely going to see Junkie the next time hes in town. I seemed as tho he started losing energy, or the crowd was losing energy near the end of his set tho
Then Rank came on, , and just revitalized the whole place. I was definitely looking forward to their set, esp. after hearing their set from MAD in October… and they didn’t disappoint… maybe a tad bit harder than I was expecting, but they were dropping bombs everywhere!
I highlight of my night I mu5t say HANDS DOWN was when he n droppd Ridgewalkers – Find (Original Mix)… now that song has been my n favourite since I heard it like a month ago! That song owned me. I was telling EVERYONE around me! “LISTEN to this bloody song! Its so sick!”.. I went NUTS when it came on…. it was just perfect timing too, coming on after Tiesto Just Be.. I love that song as well, was just ripping it up, shouting out to the vocals, then I heard ridgewalkers slowly coming in and just like that I was in heaven! I wish Rank would have played longer tho… their set seemd way too short :(
But then Mark Oliver came on and just wrecked me too.. I was still going strong and I loved the set he dropped, a lot of techno and I was just loving it…. U gotta love Mark Oliver.. as everyone always says, we are so lucky to have him! He did a crazy fantastic job closing.. I still wish he’d spun right thru to freakin’ 8 tho, leaving at 7am just seemed too early! ;(
Oh well, a solid 8 hours of partying and dancing was had by me and all the peps I came with! My cousin came up all the way from Sarnia! Oh, and when I was on the stage, met some really cool peps from Sault St. Marie. Turns out a couple of them were at a party last month and they just LOVED IT… (I figured out that I was the Guvernemnt 8 Year party) so they just had to make it out again, and this time they brought more friends! That’s just awesome, coming all the way from Sault St. Marie just to party at government! That’s pretty awesome to see I mu5t say!
Well, I think that’s my bit on the night, I mu5t say I was surprised and really impressed that guv wasn’t NEARLY as rammed as it usually is. There was a perfect # of ppl there, not too packed, had lots of space to dance and !
