This video is hilarious. You have to watch the part where he tries to pick out which picture is in fact a pitbull.
This ban is so wrong on every level and the fact that the Attorney General doesnt even know what he's talking about just shows what a shameless knee jerk reaction this law is.

Whether the law is wrong or not is another story - but - basing this on whether someone in a position of power is able to identify a Pit Bull from a series of pictures of dogs that look similar means nothing.
He wouldn't be the one determining that anyways, so, who cares? |

He may never have been bitten by a dog but I have. I got bitten and attacked twice, once by dobermans when I was 12, and once by ridgebacks when I was 17. I've been through it, I know it hurts, and I still don't agree with the ban. How about German Shepherds? Those dogs are notorious for being overly protective of their owners and attacking (and even killing) people. You don't see them being banned do you?
Although I have no love for dobermans or ridgebacks, I still don't think that banning them is a solution to a problem. Make the owners take responsability. There are no such things as bad dogs, only badly trained dogs with bad owners. |

I also have been bitten..once in the face & once in the arm so I have the "scars" and do not like big dogs...I agree with the ban because this particular breed has a very powerful bite because of the muscle structure surrounding the jaw & head and they don't let go...When I was bitten in the face ( I think I was like 8 or 9 years old), this dog (some long haired breed) let go once he bit me...I wish that the ban included German Shepards but the Government didn't go that far..
You say that the OWNERS should be liable instead of an outright ban?...Well I have little faith in some people to be responsible in controling dogs so the next BEST thing in my opinion is removing the danger outright... |

| I was attacked by a zu today!!! BAN ZUS!!!! YOU know what anyone trying to pass this against pitbulls... Pitbulls are not dangerous... its the neglecting owners that are... Ive been attacked by a pitbull and a german sheppard... personally.... id rather have been attacked by the pitbull... it only bit me once... the sheppard pinned me down and got me 9 or 10 times |

Well then I suppose you suggest outright banning all dogs since they all have teeth and you just never know, right?
I mean a chihuahua could attack you too if trained for it, so let's ban chihuahua's because of the danger this breed could become if badly trained! |
