It all began when I heard some tracks on the radio which I liked, such as Energy 52 - Cafe del Mar, Southside Spinners - Luvstruck and Gouryella - Walhalla. I then started to search the net, and suddenly I was hooked, making my collection of trance MP3s bigger and bigger. A big thanks to this forum as well for introducing me to lots of new tunes! :)

WEll....approximately between 1993 and 1998...Dance music was the biggest thing!!! I thought it was the best....
There came a time when all the music sucked...and i never liked rock...!!
But one day will trying to find some new channels on my satelite....
I found VIVA!!!!!!!! That got me all started!!! One of the first songs that got me started was ATB- 9PM....and lots others!!!
But then!!! VIVA became a channel that u had to pay for!!! It was very devestating....lol!!! The good memories of VIVA had driven my desire to find more trance music....
There came a time when i listed to The prodigy....but that went away after a year...
Then came napster.
And then TA !!!!!!!!!
I started to hear about all kinds of cool Dj's like PVD, Tiesto, etc...and it's been addictive since then!!!!!!

YESS!!! THE GREAT POWER OF TRANCE!!!!

On the same day I heard two songs on the radio that I never heard been played on the radio again. One was Prodigy-Out of space and the second on was Westbam-Celebration Generation. After that I wanted to know more about the genre. But before that I had fallen in love with KLF and their record The white room and ofcourse I digged the remakeal of Das Boot.

Some yrs ago I was deeply into Music Theory / Classical Guitar / Progressive Metal Guitar / Gyorgy Ligeti / and so on ....

Someday I got to the theathers to see The Matrix... Run Lola Run... and started to listen to eletronic-music thru soundtracks...

Then i started to compose my own eletronic music, but found myself doing things very different... that was a kind of nervous and existencial trance - but I wasn't aware of that yet. So, a friend of mine pointed me Underworld to listen. and I was :eyes: blown UP :eyes:.

Many months later, I was a active member of a Underworld-related trade list, RTSR-trade... that put me in touch with some rare underworld material, and sometimes I used to hear "this tracks is more trancey" and so on...

Then, in a search for eletronic music videos I found TranceAddict.com

Watching Paul Van Dyk - Live at Mayday 2000 I discovered what I have sought all the time : a trance rave like that - lights, music, crowd, magic. the momentum. Other live videos just confirmed that...

And soon I was addicted. That was mid-2000...
Took some time to signup at the forum, thought.... around a year.

But there's something I really find strange - no one knows/talks about underworld as trance-related...

I don't know i used to be confused aka drum'n'bass head. It was the most confusing part of my life. Then i d/l binary finary-1998 (PVD Mix) and sasha's xpander and i came out of the confused state and i've been addicted to trance ever seen then. Thank god i'm now a trance head, such great music, i love the synth riffs. Just love it. I've helped convert many others into the trance genre. Trance foreva

Use to be a DnB/Jungle fan myself, still like it quite a bit, but once I heard Tiesto @ Energy 2000 it was all over from there, tranceaddiction began!

i was listening to the radio and there was this songs which had a really nice tune really caught my attention as i was really into korn at the time....didn't know what the song but a couple of days later saw it on foxtel.......it was the video clip to PVD - For An Angel with him being on the island...never looked back and yeah think armin van buuren and ferry corsten are the best hence System F feat. Armin Van Buuren - Exhale is one of my favourite songs

a friend of mine put on tranzworld 3 in his car and i liked the fact that it was a lot better than the rap and metal that most of my friends listen to
