Perfecto Presents Paul Oakenfold

Back by popular demand, the King of Trance returns to the Sound-Bar dance floor, this time fulfilling his promise to deliver a full Main Room set of blissful beats like no other can. Kicking off his U.S. sweep in Chicago, Oakey has hinted that this will be his last tour for some time, citing a new album as the reason for keeping him off the touring circuit. Tickets are already going fast for this one, and we highly recommend buying in advance if you want to catch the master for what well could be his last Chicago performance for some time to come!

Will certainly be there! I'm loving the new Creamfields album a lot. Must rest all weekend, because it's this Tuesday and conveniently I fly out to San Francisco the next day, where James Zabiela will be! I didn't have a problem with it, but I think that this is going to be better set than he spun at Summerfest this year.

whoa..thats a lot of openers! are they all in the mainroom? are some of you guys tag teaming or is everyone playing really short sets?
Mili
not sure what the arrangement of the openers is yet, but keep in mind that soundbar has 2 other rooms which with kick ass sound systems which will be in use.

i'll do my best to post the time slots and arrangement of openers as soon as i get it.

Do you know if Oakey going on about 1? I've been to Soundbar a few times, but never on a Tuesday night before so don't want to miss anything. Thanks.

Well in the 1-???? time slot, the ???? was about 10 minutes before 3, so quite a short set before others took over. Sort of disappointing, but not too bad for me, because of work and a flight to catch later this morning, plus Paul could have been contracted for a shorter time since it was a Tuesday. Started off with Sarah Mclachlin - World on Fire (Junkie XL CLub Mix) followed by Tiesto - Traffic. Other songs I remember were Southern Sun, Way Out West - Killa (things really picked up when he dropped this), U2 - Beautiful Day & Armin - Blue Fear. Also checked out Mili for a bit & some good stuff. I got Oakey to sign my copy of "Great Wall" and he seemed like a real nice guy, even though he left the venue rather quickly.

As for Soundbar, it's a fun time for some smaller shows, like Matt Darey, but it was way too packed tonight and really takes away from the experience. They need to get a building permit and expand ASAP for these big shows in the future, because not having room for anyone to dance and people bumping into you and spilling their cranberry and vodka (the other tonic drink that got me at least wont stain) all over your shirt is not too enjoyable.

Anyway, good work Mili and hope everyone else had a good time.
