Ron Artest Is the Man!!!!! (pg. 5)

David Stern just proved again that he is the worst commisioner in the world.

Big Ben the pole shiner, should have gotten at least 20 games. He started the whole thing. He threw at Artest and incensed the fans after he threw stuff, he was waving his arms up and down. And I saw an interview where he claims he did nothing wrong. Next time I go to a game, I'm gonna go up all nice, and throw my full beer right in his grill. See how he feels. I even think Detroit is better off without him, because he is the worst player in the NBA.

Jermaine should not have gotten 25 games. Fat dudes were on the court, the are fair game. The Union is gonna have a field day with this one.

Indiana will still go further than the Pistons in the playoffs. Indiana will make the playoffs with their full complement of players and they are way deeper than Detroit and any other team in the east.

David Stern, I have said it for 10 years, he is what is wrong with the NBA. No wonder nobody goes to games anymore. He ruined it with expansion, notice that when he took over the scores became 80-60....ooo exciting. I will throw a party the day he quits.

Im pretty sure you guys know this by now but since nobodys mentioned it here yet ......
their saying now that the fan Artest first went after wasnt the person who threw something at Artest, just some innocent guy, notice how he was smiling at Artest right before he got pummled lol.

I strongly disagree with your statement about David Stern. I've actually had the pleasure of hearing him speak when he visited my university nearly 2 years ago while I was still an undergrad. He's a smart and intelligent man who truly cares about the NBA and is more than capable of making the right decisions.

I agree with you, ever since he became commish in 84 this league has gone nothing but up thanks to him (and MJ,Magic and Bird of course)Anyways that commish in the NHL, and Selig are much worse.
Stern handled this decision well.

btw viber congrats on tonights win..........

David Stern is the best commisioner in sports. Tagliabue and Selig don't seem to care about their sports and rarely get involved.

^^^^

all the talks about david stern being a shmuck in handling the league, and driving it's integrity down the drain with all the "badass" players is nothing but smoke..

i think he has done an exceptional job in handling all the fracas that has gone down the past twenty years, and i hope he stays around for another 10 to 15 years down the road ..

Don't you guys notice that he only caters to the big name players and teams. He's more worried about marketing then the game. Have you seen how the TV numbers have gone down? Have you seen how the attendance has gone down? IMO he is a horrible commissioner. He doesn't treat all the situations fairly. He protects his stars and deals with so-called problems in an unfair manner.

You can ask most basketball fans and they don't like Stern, which is why he gets booed at most arenas he visits.

I respect your guys opinions, but I whole-heartedly disagree. A party will be thrown in my house the day he quits or gets fired, which should be next year when there is a lockout.

With a league full of thugs and punks, I'm surprised like this doesn't happen more often. The players know they are not allowed to go into the stands for any reason at all. The fact that Artest ran into the stands, and started wailing on the first guy he could get his hands proves he has no place in the NBA.

Part of their job is putting up with the crowd. If he can't do that, he doesn't belong there. He is a disgrace to the Pacers, and a disgrace to my city, and I want his ass out of the NBA for good. Jackson can go with him.

I actually wouldn't mind seeing all the thugs on all the teams gone no matter how good they are. Might actually make pro ball worth watching again.

as much as I love watching the NBA

College basketball > NBA

I agree with that. I would so much rather watch college ball.

but arent you bummed that you don't know the players, the level is lower and that games are often ending in a 50-60ish score?
