| I just started skating.....at the age of 21. Hahahahah and the funny thing is that i dont know anything about skating. I just went out there and bought a board (seek board, venture trucks, spitfire wheels) I'm not sure if I need skating shoes or not but would my basketball shoes work? (jordan 18s) Anyway, how do I ollie? I heard I have to shift my weight back and pop the board up as soon as my tail hits the ground or something......any tips for me?? |

i can try help you but i roll (aggressive inline)
basically you put one foot on the back and the other foot between the middle and back of the board. you push down with the foot in back and slide your front foot up the board and when it gets to the top, you even it push down in the front to even it out... it'll take some practice |

lol god damn, thats the first time i have heard that word in like 6 years... LOL!
we used to get into fights with the preppy rollerbladder kids in middle school, funny when all you have to do to get away from a mob of them is run up a grass hill or some steep stairs.... hahahah!
Ahhh... good times....
on the ollie, it just takes practice, lots of it, but once you get it down its pretty easy, and well then you can learn everything else... :p
I went ollie->shove-its -> flips (but i sucked)... etc... |

| if youre actually thinking of doing serious boarding, you might want to get proper shoes. basketball shoes are made for just that, basketball |

| the basketball shoes are just gonna have holes in them, cause to ollie you need to move your front foot up the grip tape with the side of your shoe |

i use to skate back in the day i was even sponsered by a few shop in my home town
your never to old to start skating
just be sure and wear a old pari of shoes that give you support
( ::o ::0)<---feet need to be placed here or were you feel comfortable
when you ollie basically you are going to pop the tail and raise your foot
as you raise your foot that you poped the tail with slide your other foot towards the front of the board this will help increase the size of ollie
i left alot of holes in the explenation but that what i remember i havnt skated in about 4 years ..... oh yeah concret hurts and knees and ankles dont last long if you dont land right |
