i had the same problem. the car stereo is creating the gaps and can't read cue sheet. one solution is plug a mp3 portable player into ur car stereo. problem solved

heh just take one liveset that has say like 15 tracks on it
and have one mp3 that starts on track 1 and has the whole thing
then the next track has everything but the first song
and the third one starts at the third track and continues for the whole thing
so you can fast forward and rewind between tracks :p
waste of space, but it'd work more or less

Thats a really interesting idea. Not very practical, but it is definitely something I would never have thought of. So that is one way to tackle the problem.

lack of sleep leads to new ideas
not necessarily rational ones, but new ideas nonetheless

edit: that and i have a paper due tomorrow and a test tonight, neither of which i'm prepared for, and therefore i'm postwhoring like no other

awww yes, the inevitable procrastinating before a test/assignment. I used to do the same thing. Even the most boring stuff seems so interesting when you have studying to do. I would catch myself watching TV (I usually never do) and it wasn't even a good show. Weird how that works.

Couldnt be bothered to read what you all wrote after 'this is a hijack'... so sorry if this is a repeat :p

to answer the question, it's pretty simple really... instead of having just one index number, you create a second one which has a time of 2 seconds before the track actually changes. Dunno how it works exactly, but i guess it 'prepares' the cd player to change tracks, so it doesn't need to stop inbetween.

For example, if the track changes at 47 mins:15 secs... write:

INDEX 00 47:13:00
INDEX 01 47:15:00

might be wort trying...
but I don't know how a cue sheet works exactly.
does anyone know ?

so far, I used a software called CueMaster... I did a cue sheet and there is this option of saving the cue sheet in the mp3 file itself.
I tried reading it in winamp after that, the sound works but when I click on next it doesn't skip to the next cue point.
Now for sure winamp is not made for detecting cue points... but hopefully this works out well in the cd player (which I didn't have the time to try it yet)

theres a good guide in the FAQ (sub-forum of this)

use nero burning rom. I know you can divide a liveset with it without the breaks.

cue sheets are not going to work with MP3 players at all. Cue sheets are meant for BURNING (mp3cue for winamp uses another method for scanning through, but you are using MP3cue to fast forward) You can mess with the cue sheet all you want up and down...the mp3 player will not even look at the ".cue" it only see's ".mp3" extensions.
