cue sheets for mp3 car radio ?
View this Thread in Original format

I own a mp3 car radio and when I listen to a cd with mp3 files on it, it gives me 2 seconds of gaps between the track...
IT SUCKS when you listen to sets and you have to wait after 2 seconds of silence between tracks...
the only way to avoid this is to burn the sets as one big mp3 file...
but that way I can't switch between tracks... I have to listen to the entire set or scan for hours to be able to listen to one particular part in the set.

Is there a program that can use cue sheets for mp3files just like for audio cds ?

How bout an mp3 player that stores the mp3 files locally on a hard drive and you dont have to use a CD?

I only listen to MP3 in my car for livesets. otherwise you are going to get that problem. there is no way around it.

Hey you wanna listen to some crap, cool because listening to mp3 is like putting a turd against your earhole

try to find MusicCutter...its a free program that uses Cue sheets to cut the track into its respective parts. then just throw it on cd and burn away. when burning make sure that there is no 2 sec gap in between songs...nero automatically puts it there but you can change the gap to 0 sec.

What the hell are you talking about? With the quality of stereo equipment in 99% of cars you wouldn't be able to hear the difference between an mp3 and CD audio.

that still doesn't solve his problem. at that point you are just using regular cd. He wants to contuine to use mp3's on a cd with no gaps. it can't be done. when each track starts it has to load each into memory.

yup
gotta just listen to one big file
heh just take one liveset that has say like 15 tracks on it
and have one mp3 that starts on track 1 and has the whole thing
then the next track has everything but the first song
and the third one starts at the third track and continues for the whole thing
so you can fast forward and rewind between tracks :p
waste of space, but it'd work more or less

Hahahaha some people are idiots when it comes to the whole MP3 thing. It sounds fine in a car stereo. People always knocking MP3s, give me a break.
