No long johns for me.

On that note, no short johns for me, either.

Well, first a "Canadian" winter doesn't need involve -30 temperatures.

But, on some of the brutally cold days in the winter in Toronto(especially if spending a deal of time outside), I'll wear LJs. Got a nice pair at MEC.

If I was further north, I'd probably wear them all the time, same with if I spent more than half an hour at a time outside.

How i avoid the cold.

- Invite friends over to my house so we dont have to hang out at Tims
- Car starter with heated car seats
- Leave home early to get a close parking spot (work is crazy for parking)
- always have a jacket, gloves and toque in the trunk of your car
- quit smoking

I think our winters arent as bad as people say they are. If you think of it, we only get a few major snowfalls. I know this because i work from home when it snows and the last 2 years i only did so a few times. Long john's suck. I use ski pants when im clearing my driveway.

Its not the snow.
Its teh wind coming off the water and up those gorgeous wind tunnels created by all the high rise offices.

I would wear them, but it would get too warm to sit in class w/ them on, and too much of a pain in the butt to go change before and after class.

At first, ya, but your body learns to adapt... I have to sit at work for 8 hours, dont even notice... you just get used to it such that it no longer bothers you.

That's what we men have leg hair for. :p

I suppose there are those who never quite fully made it through puberty, in which case I can understand the need for long johns (as well as a few extra layers of clothing in general), but I think they're the exception rather than the rule.

hmm, now i have to buy ray some extra long johns since the poor boy has hardly any hair on legs or arms for that matter.

maybe those full suits that go under all your clothes.

First of all, it's not that cold here.
Secondly, mission it out. Your legs won't fall off.
Thirdly, it's not that cold here.:toothless :toothless

I LOVE THERMAL-UNDERWEAR!

Been wearing my badboys since September rolled around. And I'll still be wearing them till prolly the end of April, depending. ATLEAST always till the end of March.

I never go ANYWHERE in these temps that hover below or just over the 0oC mark w/o my longs on!

Long-johns and some solid music playing in my head phones is what keeps me warm while im walking to work or meeting friends.

Thermal underwear supporter FOR LIFE over here!!
