Hamburg Trance Party 03.12.04 in ein Studentenwohnheim (pg. 2)

Hi, I understand that you've got school the next day. On this you make a point. Concerning the rest, I'm not sure you're right. There are quite some people in my "Wohnheim" who are not more than 19. If you speak about the student parties that take place in Uni, I understand what you mean. But with this party I'm trying to do the exact contrary of what those parties are. People just go there to get drunk and try and grab some girls (or boys for girls). They surely don't go for the music itself, because it's mainstream. And as some might say mainstream means for everyone, I've grown up to think it also means in a way for no-one. So maybe another time (if there is one). And don't think you're too young. If you'd been 16, I'd have said you might have been right. But that's not the case. Hope to see you turn out one day!

Gruss, Corentin.

one suggestion, corentin:

best advertisment for you would be to go to yokoīs party on friday, get to know some of the Hamburg GTAs (although thatīs probably less than 1% of the ppl going to trance parties here in Hamburg), go to Edelfett for the Tranceport on Saturday to meet some more GTAs, take some flyers with you etc.

That way ppl get to know you, know a bit better what to expect at your party etc.

Thatīs at least a way of "face2face" promotion, internet promotion is nice, but not really working in a small confined area of interest like trance, especially in Hamburg.

Regards and all the best for your party

Hi Net,

Thanks for your suggestions. You're right about it all. but I would say that when you don't really know a lot of people that are into trance, you find it hard to attend parties. And that's my case. I went alone to a couple of gigs (Tiësto for instance). But it's not always as much fun as going with other people. And I'd add also that I find it hard to get informations about forecoming parties in Hamburg. I thought for exemple that transport didn't exist anymore. I was once there, and it was quite nice. But now that I'm promoting my own party, it stepped fot the first time into the GTA forum, wich is a good thing I see it now. I didn't know until yesterday that there were so many HH TA's. And I also came accross a couple of Forums and webpages which were quite interesting I must say (e.g: http://www.trance-synergy.de). And finally it's good that you told me Yoko was doing a party on Friday. I really want to see what he's doing. So thanks once again.

If you want to check out more info about the party on friday:
http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=221270

There are 2 other DJs who play different styles, but mine is of course the Trance part :)

About the trance.synergy page I'm sorry that we're not quite finished yet, but the rest should be done in about a week and then we will do the "official release" of that website ;)

Sure, can understand that.
You might drop me a PM with your email, maybe a mobile# and maybe a pic/link to a pic of you.
If you come to Edelfett this Saturday, we can probably have a Sambuca at the bar and Iīll introduce you to some ppl.

yep, was easier some time ago. There is no "central" website listing all events in Hamburg, be it house, trance, techno etc. Citybeat.de only does Bremen, for Hamburg it was pretty good couple of years back.
http://www.hh2nite.de/ mostly has house or "it gets all sorts" parties

Techno & trance parties are mostly announced only on flyers or mouth to mouth.

Probably easiest way to get started in Hamburg is for you now via GTA, although ppl around here are slighly biased towards anything else than a very specific style ;)

EDIT: to get on the Tranceport mailinglist: either come to Edelfett and ask there at the door, where you can dot down your name or send your details to [email protected] and ask to be added to the mailinglist.

Hi Yoko!

I think I'll try my best to be there this friday to see you spin. But I've got some questions. Does this Party finish at 02:30 only? And is there a night-bus line crossing the surroundings? Thanks.

Thanks to you Net for your tips and for also for being so friendly. I'll try and see if I can come. It's like for Yoko's party, I don't know if I'll manage to come. anyways, I'll send you all the things listed above. So that maybe in the future, you can give me a sign per mail whenever there is some good Party. I'd really appreciate getting to know people sharing the same interest for trance. And i've got also a question concerning Saturday; how much does it cost? I went on the site, and they tell the price of every party, but nothing for this very one. Thanks.
