Happy Thanksgiving to all the American TA's, as well as anyone else who feels a part of celebration, regardless of your nation's day of thanks or not.
In the spirit of threads with a purpose, list 3 things you're thankful for:
1. TA
2. Ends of school terms
3. Generosity
edit: hmm almost forgot death. Without death, there is no life :p |
You're 45 days too late, but thanks anyway. :clown: :clown: |

Thanx, but I don't celebrate it, so I won't tell you what I'm thankful for, because that would be against what I believe in. |

Yes, it's an excuse to escape to realism that the world has to offer. Many people (probably more than the French would hope) actually do reflect on what they're thankful for on this day - I think it's damn important for people to dedicate at least one day a year to think about how much happiness is in their lives. Unfortunately, the eating of a turkey has been associated by those who cannot understand the meaning of our day, as it is so displayed in the media as a tacit tradition and so shunned by "intellectuals" in that regard. It's really too bad that people must immediately think that, for Americans, it's just a day to eat a lot when, in all actuality, each person is truly thinking about what there is to be thankful for on this day. What the media presents is, as usual, just a dim reflection of reality. So don't judge thanksgiving by what has been presented to you through a camera and a commercial, for thanksgiving is a helluva lot more than that for those who actually live it. |
i love you.
