Every now and again I come across something about 11 kid dj and a 13 year old kid dj etc etc.
I would think by the time these kids are 20 they will be totally deaf.
How can anyone allow prepubencent kids in a club enviroment with 120 dB sound levels, I don't know how development of young kids hearing and physiology are before they hit puberty, but cannot such sound levels cause things like heart problems or brain problems in kids that are still developing. |

You mean they actually get gigs in clubs at that age?

| I doubt clubs would be allowed to hire ppl that young for their gigs...i think these young kids are just bedroom dj's... so by the age of 20, if they continue the hobbie, they should be pretty amazing... |

I donno, I only brought it up cause I was browsing gemini's website and saw they have a 11 year old kid playing at events.
Maybe it's geminis way of saying they only make toys? |

I have been DJing for 14+ years (I'm 33)
I have played many clubs, party's..etc, and currently hold a weekly residence.
I have never used any ear protection.
I had my ears checked recently and have above average hearing.
Maybe they will be fine :conf: ...I am ;) |
