on a more serious note, i haven't met too many people from uk except from what i see on here, and i try very hard not to judge your country or way of life based on the bull i read from you guys, but it's getting harder and harder. it's just really obnoxious how you guys rip on us every chance you get. you really are giving yourselves a bad name to those who haven't been to the UK or met anyone from there. i know i sure as hell will avoid uk when i finally get to go on my trip to europe. not that you give a ...just trying to make a point though. |

But to be fair, a lot of Americans DO think the world revolves around them. I think the administration of the US appointing itself policeman of the world has enhanced this mentality among its citizens. In a debate I recently had with an American about the situation in Iraq her retort was somrthing like "Let them all (various ethnic factions, etc.) kill eachother all they like. Then when they're finished the US can deal with whoever's left".
Arrogant imperial attitude. in sickens me to be honest. That said, I have friends in the US who are the complete opposite. But I think recent events, politically, validate the argument (re: world revolving around them). |

The argument with whom, exactly? There's stupid, ignorant, childish people the world-over, not just in America, and not just in England, either. If anything, your protest should be against supidity, in general - not some half-witted response to a supposed mass ignorance that doesn't truly exist in America any more than it does in other countries.
Sure, the number of idiot Americans are increasingly more represented (see beets and beeps' sig and the thread linked in it) but that's just because we herd all of our idiots on to the internet. :happy2: |

Actually American cars as a whole have recently passed German cars in terms of reliability, but they are both crap compared to Japanese cars. |

I must say british woman tend to be the ugliest in europe.
On a recent trip to milan, I was astounded at the number of beautiful people. Hardly any overweight and most with faces of angels.
In britain you will see a higher proportion of munters to good looking girls |

The Brits are pissed off at the US because the US replaced them as arrogant imperialists that everybody else hates.
