Dj´s live sets..

Last week I went to see dj Tiesto and I was disapointed for 2 things
1 before tiesto all the songs you could hear them crystal clear, then tiesto came and the only thing you could really hear was the low spectrum of the songs, very little meds and highs. wich i said WTF?
And another thing I was expeting to hear not only tiesto´s work but songs of other ppl remixed by him.
Is this normal in all dj´s live sets?
Cause when i went to see ferry corsten it was the same, you only heard his songs |

Nope he came here to Guatemala.
My question is because I expected the No.1 dj to dish out not only his work but remixed songs from him.
and also to get a better sound engineer... |

I heard his set in El Salvador sucked, which i dont doubt...obviously people there are all excited though..
anyways yeah i was asking this guy who went if Tiesto dropped Delerium - Silence (ISOS Remix), and hes like "no, but he dropped ANDAIN - BEAUTIFUL THINGS!!!!!!!"

| Ferry came here Nov 11 and i was surprised becuse he played tracks like Marco V - Automanual & Robert Gitelman - Children of the Sun but he did good he played some of his new remixes and of course his works like kyoto , sweet sorrow , punk [i hate it] when he played this track everyone went crazy lol.Tunes of the night Thrillseekers -Synaesthesia [Ferry remix] , Ferry Corsten - I Love You & Robert Gitelman - Children of the Sun.With these tracks the crowd went nuts.Thats all i have to say.Cheers! |

| LoL i just posted the ferry thing coz cuervo said that ferry plays always his works lol he does but he also spin his remixes so please dont talk bad stuff about him hes a good dj.BTW when Tiesto came here he sounded perfectly and he spin other producers stuff. :) |

| I think that they have such production from them,that thay can spin almost two hours of their production,but is unfair anyway |

i would be well annoyed. to be honest, whenever i have seen tiesto (which admitedly hasn't been for at least a year or so) he has always played a variety or tracks, not just his own. obviously he put a few in here and there but that is to be expected with any dj who produces. the fact of the matter is, if i wanted to go and hear all of testo's tunes in a row, i would have payed to watch a live PA, not a dj set. dj's should bear this in mind.
as far as the sound quality is concerned, be robably knocked a rack eq with his knee or something dumb like that. by the sounds of it, the sound engineer didn't exist, otherwise that just wouldn't have stayed like that. |

Hold on dude, I didn´t say ferry was bad, I just said that I only heard his tunes (lol besides I don´t know all of them so I could have heard remixed stuff too). The fact is that just lisening to someones productions isn´t bad, but as every body else said, put some variety in it.
The thing I disliked mostly was the sound, and because of it it ruined my perception of him. that in no way means he´s a bad dj or a bad producer. but you expect that these kinds of mistakes don´t hapen to the "no.1 dj" and he doesn´t fix it. |

| LoL cuervo i got your point what can i say that was bad luck because hes been here three times and he did have a good sound quality.LOL i know how you felt the first time i saw PVD the bass was muting the treble and the mids it was so ugly that it was hard to recognize the tracks but that was for like 1 hr then it started to sound clear.Well Cuervo I hope u dont go thru this situation again cheers bro.:) |

| If a DJ is going to whore their own tracks they should just do a live PA. Spinning your own records back to back is not difficult or creative or exciting at all. |
