| I like working days at my job. I'm dreading going back to shift work in February when my contract is up. I like the money, and most of the people I work with. But I'm bored. TA kills the time, tho, so thanks all for the company and entertainment. :D |

Do you know Robbie Kinnear (union pres)? I knew him from way back... my sister's kid dated him. |

One thing I REALLY love about my job is the standard hours I keep...
generally speaking its a 9-5 kinda deal... but i mean, unless ur seeing a client, pretty much u can come and go exactly as u please...
a couple years ago i was working 10-6 days... man, i loved that extra 1hours sleep!!
Its niec being able to leave work in the middle of the day if u just need a break or have an errand or appointment to keep.
Leaving whenver u want is niec too... i mean, i can leave at 3pm if i wish one day, or stay till 9pm if i wanted and put in more hours (heheh, more hours = more pay!!)
Also, with working 9-5 or whutever, i konw my weeknights are ALWAYS free and my weekends are always free too... makes attending parties and other events so much easier to schedule (since those usually happen on the weekend) |

hate it more with ever passing second.
don't mind the actual work I do..that is pretty cool somedays. I just hate how disorganized the company is, how little respect they have for their employees and how much work they expect each person to take on with no compensation for their efforts.
Lovely story from my department today - my coworker missed her first son's first steps last night because she was in the office until 11pm. I really don't expect her, after 10 months of being off on Mat leave, to be staying around too much long if that continues. She told our boss the story in a meeting today and she laughed saying she missed alot of her son's first and finished with "well we all know work comes first". I guess if you have a Nanny it makes it all okay. ing ridiculous way to live I say.
can you tell I had a day? ;)
Cruising the job boards now to find something more rewarding. |

When i first started my job i can safely say it was like working for Kruger Industries (seinfeld reference). The boss and other employees didn't care what i did nor when i did it.
in theory that is a great place and way to work....in theory. the reality of it is i'm bored as all hell.
but then again shouldn't really complain cuz the pay keeps me way juiced in the clubs on the weekends.
but i do so miss my xbox during the days. |

All in All...I am pretty in lucky...
I actually get paid to do something I would be doing if I were not getting paid...
Money is pretty good, benefits are good as well....Now if I could find a comparable job in TO....:D
I keep looking at the job boards, but nothing advertised for 'Computer Geek'...LOL |

| Used to work as a junior auditor for PwC in Egypt. Salary was awful, but working for a big 4 accounting firm opens doors everywhere. |

I loved certain aspects of my job but could not stand the rest of it. Worked there for 7 years before we had the "this relationship ain't right" conversation.
So now I am unemployed - ;)
What I have learnt is that- I will NEVER put up with half the bull I did at this job and my next job will hone mostly my positive attributes and not the negative ones.
Incidentally- does anyone have any leads on a 25hour a week customer service related job. drop me a line.
Me needs to make a bit o money.
Thanks. |
