| I've noticed with Dutch names you can replace any "ij" with a "y" and it's pretty much the equivalent. |

The "Another day at the Office" DVD shows Tiesto explaining how to pronounce his name. Phonetically is sounds like the word "ties", tiez = Tijs. Then he explains where Tiesto came from, Tiest being his nickname from his friends? the adding an "o "to make it sound italian.
go figure that one out....
