Right, "LN2" is an acronym for "liquid nitrogen (N2)." They're the exact same chemical, and when the liquid evaporates, it's just regular N2 at a cold temperature. LN2 is in fact a subset of N2, not really something different.

It's sorta like how water vapour is still water... ya dig?

Sheez, I try to defuse an argument in a way that lets both people save face, and I'm the pretentious one. Next time don't cut class. ;)

I think this best sums up how I feel about guv... I rarely go but when I do I always have a blast... with the exception of Above and Beyond :nervous:

One of the reasons why i moved to this city was because i wanted to go to guv. I call it my home away from home. I'm there.....A LOT. The best sets/DJs i've seen in my lifetime have been there. I rarely have had a bad time there, and i mean VERY rarely. The all access events are nothing short of extraordinary, and i think we're lucky as to have a club like Guvernment in our fine city :)

VERDICT: LOVE IT TO DEATH :D

I still like Guv though.

likewise...it's more about just getting old and not wanting to deal with large crowds rather than "guv is the worst club ever" thing.

lets see since July 2006, I've been at guv in Feb 2008 and Sept 2008. (KH does not count if its just a concert)

The last time I was at guv was for Yoji last year.

I'd go more often but I can't deal with the crowds anymore....it has to be someone really special to make me even go out anymore.

Totally. I used to frequent the Guv a lot more and I loved it. When some of the older parties would say they hated it I was shocked! lol
Then I started disliking a lot of things about it, and stopped going so much. But now that I don't go as often anymore, it makes it fun when I do go. Especially when I pick and choose the parties I really want to go to. Plus the renovations help! lol

not really! considering how rotten main room sound got after the renos
I mean the moving booth is nice and dandy but I'm not paying $20 to see the Dj fly up and down lol

Most ppl I know just tolerate the Guv now. If something better came along we'd move on 4sure. Anyone with years in this scene that tells you they still luv it has either taken too much drugs or is just being nice cuz they don't go as often as they used to.

Years ago I luved the Guv...but the sketchiness of the crowd, bad BO, noob cliques with uneducated ears and no passion for sound, overcrammed partiers with no clue of what PLUR even meant (as they elbow you in the groin), plus the poor sound system, leaves a not so good impression.
Not to mention how over time we've lowered our expectations of the locals.

I think when you are relatively new to this scene/music you tend to look at the Guv through rose coloured glasses but as years go bye you begin to realize that no matter how great your friends are (and they make all the difference at an event) it's just lost it's magic.

I'm gonna miss those nights when we got 8-10hrs sets from the dj's...or when the dj would just say ok I'll give you one hr more.
