Driving in the US

I just got back from a pretty long trip through the US. Let me just say what a pleasure it was to drive the interstate. People stuck to the right lane unless they were passing. No one was tailgating. People were curteous to slow down or change lanes in order to allow another car to merge onto the highway. No one was going break neck speeds and flashing everyone who wasnt going 60 over.

Then I got back onto the QEW and it was the same old story. Why is it that drivers in Ontario have NO discipline?

Oh yeah and most of the trip the speed limit was 65-70 (which is 108-115 ish). It would be nice to raise the speed limit here but i dont think drivers here could handle it.

the states suck just as bad as Ontario when it comes to driving. Stop generalizing. I lived in Texas for 3 years, and the driving there was unbelievably bad. You could spot all the drunk drivers everywhere on a friday/sat night. I would be doing a 100MPH and people would still be tailgaiting me, highbeaming me. So shaddup!:toothless

not where i was. driving through new york state and pittsburgh was a breeze even during rush hour. People had respect. I dont know about cowboyland but things were quite civil as i saw it north of dixie.

A far far cry from the Windsor-Toronto drive that i make all the time.

well sir, my experience down south was much different in the 3 years that I lived there. It wasn't just a couple days vacation... Southern hospitality my ass!

I would have to agree with MR. vibe on this one. Have you ever driven in L.A. or Chicago? Let's just say driving on the QEW is a cakewalk compared to that...

Actually I was thinking of something a little more warped and Pablo Picaso-esc like you would see if you were looking through about 5 beer mugs in a row...

LOL...

You obviously haven't driven in Michigan....insane drivers there....INSANE....the QEW is like driving on a go-kart track compared to some of the highways here in Mich...:)

Actually I have and Michigan wasnt that bad. Volumewise there was a lot of cars but my Michigan friends always complain about how clogged our highways are.
